  1. @Chamod Moved your post to leather sewing machines. Tom
  2. A picture of your plough gauge would help to see how you have it assembled so you can get some feedback. Also check with @bruce johnson here on LW. Tom
  3. Kids played anywhere that there was an open area, vacant lots, backyards, etc. Not much of this today. Nice job. Tom
  4. @Restorer Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. I think you will have a better chance of replies here. Tom
  5. That is not a problem. I moved one the other day to a wrong forum, so had to go back and move it again! Tom
  6. @EllenFox Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. You'll find more help here. Also about breaking the top thread, take a look at this post from just a few days ago. Another is to make sure you have enough top tension, but I'd suspect the post I linked to first. Happened to me as well. Tom
  7. To resize and post photos, look at this link. For videos, post it on YouTube and link to it. Tom
  8. @ThoughtFission Moved your post to Leather Sewing Machines. Tom
  9. You can reduce them somewhat by using leather needles that have sort of a chisel shape rather than a conical shape point if you aren't already using them. Can also lightly hammer the bottom stitch line to hide it somewhat. Tom
  10. Also have a look at Tandy's books. Especially "Leathercraft Tools". Tom
  11. @Historicalbeltworks Moved your post to dyes ... etc. Should find some help here. Tom
  12. @sainte Welcome to the forum. Please avoid using HTML encoding in your posts. Its format doesn't fit the window. If you are using a translator application to translate to English, copy and paste the text as plain text. Also moved your post to "leather Sewing Machines" You will find more help and answers here. Tom Edit - actually should be in Leather Machinery - so moved again. Might get it right someday!
  13. Looks to be sewn twice, once with maybe a saddle stitch, then again with a cross stitch. Tom
  14. For the question about the order of processes, here is a post about wet molding and tooling - wet molding first, or tooling first? See this example. You should take a look at the rest of the thread this example comes from. It really depends on how much wet forming you are doing as to its effect on the tooling. Tom
  15. Leave the beginning and tail threads long, then finish off manually, good old needle and thread method! Tom
  16. Look at the bottom of the posting area you are typing in. Drag files here, or a link to choose files using your file system. Also check this post. Tom
  17. Prints just fine, to scale. Tom
  18. Prints fine on my printer at full size, no problems with any lines. Nice, clear, sharp. So it looks like it may be getting compressed somewhere along the way to your printer. When I have reduced or optimized PDF file size, I have had that happen. Also happens to me when making a PDF searchable. Some of the big print stations at work did things like this too unless you changed the printer's default settings. Tom
  19. Asked on FB page and this is the response: Cyndy Kitt Productions Yes, AU$20 for the manual, +AU$4.50 postage . . . the international postal service has been very slow the last few months because of the pandemic though. Tom
  20. Copied from ABLE 290 - patcher FB page Q&A Nov 2019: ABLE 290 - Patching Machine Sorry for the delay in replying, message my personal business page Cyndy Kitt Productions. I am only selling hard copies of the fully revised manual. AU$25 includes postage. Hope this is of help to those that are looking for a manual. Tom

  22. If you add a post to this thread, at the bottom of your text area, you should see a note, drag files her to attach, or choose files. Also more info in this thread Tom
  23. The amount of belt slippage you have will substantially reduce the power transferred to the pump. After it has been running for 10 or 15 minutes, and you have been activating it a few times, how hot is the small drive pulley? If it is hot, you know you are losing lots of power right there. Secondly, since you replaced the motor and have cleaned and oiled it up, the problem would logically be one of those 2 things. Cleaning and oiling doesn't logically fit, so that leaves just the replacement motor with slipping belts. I would measure the belt length you need and go get a new matched pair of belts. They sell matched pairs for a steeper price than singles, but that is what you need. If they don't have matched pairs, have them measure and pick the closest 2 belts. You could try belt stick, but that is not the right cure for loose belts. Tom

    Nice job. Tom
  25. Looks like they are putting everything under one website now. I suspected all the free downloads would disappear when their anniversary celebrations were over. It's really too bad that they aren't maintaining our accounts and seem to be starting the process all over again! Tom
