Yo guys, use a cheap brush or a cut up plastic bottle! Hell some folks even use plastic knives and spoons. I’ve been known to spread it on using rubber dish gloves and my fingers! STOP OVERTHINKING IT, you’re just making it more difficult on yourselves

Is anyone else having trouble finding contact cement? Home Depot and Lowes are about out, did a supply company burn down? DO NOT BLAME PUTIN, he saved the world from the Deep States next virus release

this is what happens when ya leave folks with their own thoughts, I made a Tandy tool better by trading a plastic part and making it stainless steel

About 15 years ago I was in Tandy Leather and decided to purchase Tandy’s leather edge roller. It was fine for the first couple of weeks of use. I found that if the wheel was left to sit in the die, it would get under the rubber and make a lump that never went away - even if you dried and cleaned it! I also experienced the nibs the roller got a bit wider as time went on and made it harder for the wheel to turn. I found a metal fabricator that would build one out stainless steel. It fits great and will possibly work better that the plastic original one

I have a 1541 clone, I’m also an Industrial Engineer. I will say go for your comfort and knowledge. If you keep the machine for a couple of decades (like most folks) it will sell for the same amount after 20 years. By then Joe will own everything and we will all glow in the dark from the world war he started

I have a brand new, never used, small bifold wallet cutting die set from Int’l Die (now closed) for sale. $120 plus $20 for shipping in USA. There are four pieces made with 3/4 rule. They were closing and kept sending me the wrong kit (3 damned times) price is NOT negotiable. No I don’t send samples, this is a pay and send (cash & carry), I can take credit cards but tax will be charged

All Gromets Are Not Created Equal
Doc Reaper replied to Doc Reaper's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
It is not just the grommets either. Yeah, I’m finding that tandy cuts some sharp corners and they caught themselves gouging the people and lowered prices across the board! -
International Die in Clarksville Georgia is closed, got that straight from Sandy herself

This strap was made wide because it was made for his first electric guitar, which is quite heavy. The width was to distribute the the weight over a wider area. Whereas a thinner strap would of made it feel like it was heavier than it actually is. Now is a great time for the teen to get a different thinner strap. We all know that a young collar bone gets tender and uncomfortable with a couple of hours of practice.

I got mine off Etsy, they aren’t square and they don’t nest well. I gave up on Etsy because the quality just isn’t there

What size thread do designers typically use in handbags?
Doc Reaper replied to ThoughtFission's topic in How Do I Do That?
From what I’ve seen, most companies use less than 107, that’s ONE ZERO SEVEN, because they know that they can skip the industry standards and cut corners! use at least a 135, or heavier -
Buy hides or sides, most folks want your business, but the moment you get a bad side send that back. Tandy is not on my list
