  2. Can you post pictures of the damage? It might help reap some solutions better
  3. I knew I should have gone to Jake's house for Turkey day!!! I am thankful for my daughter and my Grandchild that is yet to be born. Also for all the friends I have met on here and the inspiration they give freely. And lastly, but not least, to my ex-wife, who will in due time become my wife again. We are rekindling the romance we once had and BTW will hopefully never lose again. Mike
  4. Mine is a swivel knife blade that I got from Sheridan Leather Outfitters. I think it was 25 bucks. They also have the BK beader blades for the same price Barry sells his for so you could get both and make sure they match. The push beveler was a little out of my price range...I think it was like 55.00 from BK. I have one knife with the bead blade and another with the beveler blade in it so I don't have to change it every time......works for me! The one I use is a #3 beveler blade from Kutter and the matching beader blade
  5. Here is a pic of the blades. The first one (from the bottom up) is just the beader blade. The second one is the beader blade with the burnisher blade. The third one (top) is just the burnish blade.

I had an opportunity to use one when I went and spent time with Chan Geer a few months ago.....It was so easy to use and I didn't have the problem of digging into the cutting board. I can't wait to get it as it should be here in time for Xmas!!! :yeah:

  18. I have been stamping leather for 40 years. Haven't done much basket weave though. Yours look better than mine. But I agree with the other comments too.

  20. You should get in touch with the suppliers on the sponsor pages. The list of tools you need will vary with the opinion of the person telling you. If you are just getting started I would start with a basic set and get the best tool value possible. For sure with stitching you would need a good awl, and thread and needles. Get good ones as the cheap stuff will disappoint you. You will also need a rivet setting tool and a snap setter in addition to the snaps and rivets. As far as stamping tools, you can start with the cheaper Tandy stuff or go all the way to the Barry King tools or Bob Beard or Clay Miller to name a few. They are quality tools and will cost significantly more, but, you get what you pay for!! Also with leather.........there is good stuff like Wickett and Craig or Herman Oak all the way to other nonusable leather form some others, again, you get what you pay for.............just my 1 1/2 cents worth. Mike
  21. I started a batch of Roon the other day and just now tried it out..................OMG it is easy and fantastic!! I cant believe anything else was so simple and easy to use. Thanks to all the posts on how to make it...I was skeptical at first but I am now a believer!!
