Another great piece of art Sir!

Agreed. I've done this several times and the cement doesn't care once the stitches are in.

Howdy neighbors and others. From Huntsville here. Been at it a while (hobby level for about 6 years now) but nowhere close to being where I want to be.

Looks pretty good to me! Regarding the misidentified/lied about handsewing, we can really only be true to ourselves, each other and the craft. Some folks don't have those concerns.

Shot shell Pouch

That looks good to me. Can't even tell there was a save involved. -
That is a great idea @chuck123wapati.

Consistent excellence. Your stuff is great to see Mike as it is at the level I strive for. It'll take me a while to get there, but still, strive I shall.

Weaver just did one recently. It's a bit daunting but the good thing is that it's just paper until you commit it to something more durable.

Maybe one of those chopped fiberglass backgrounds? Overlap it and fade it out further away. You have a really interesting problem. Please share what works when you pull it off.

Steel Belt Liners

Both of my own belts have shrunk. I think it's from hanging unused in the closet during the pandemic. Maybe going back to the office will help them. I'm gonna look funny carrying them around for the first few weeks until they lengthen again. -
I have no experience making tack nor what good tack looks like but that looks good none-the-less!

Yeah, I've done 16 oz and even some thicker a few times. Be steady, use a clam/pony, go slow and pay attention to the angle through the leather, ensure your awl is sharp, and you should be ok. Make a few thick scraps to gain some confidence. It is completely possible. Making the holes will be easier than poking the needle back through the hole in my experience.

Simple carved wallet

Another example of skilled craftsmanship @WyattEarp. Simple but perfect. -
I had a member on here give me two tails that I'm going to use once I get my shop usable again. It looked familiar. It is a very curious leather and I smile every time I get to handling it. I love that you used it on the saddle!
