I'm with Handy Dave and Chuck here. I mostly do one off, custom holsters for local customers. It's more a busy hobby for me than a business. I charge what I consider a premium for my work (but not really if you look around). I use only Hermann Oak leather, only pro dyes. I have invested a pretty good amount into my little shop to make it enjoyable for me. I have several customers that have 2-3 holsters of mine. And more that are referred to me. I try to do my best on every one because I want to! I run an add on Craigslist, I tell the price upfront in my response to enquiries. If it's too much, I can live with that. Go buy Uncle Mike's, maybe it won't fall out....

Pretty nice. I gave some old leather to a grandfather last Xmas to make quivers for his grandkids. Got a great thank you out of it. Looks good!

It's been a busy 2 weeks. I've done a shoulder holster, a pancake for a Kimber, and a chest rig for a 7.5 in 44 mag ruger that I didn't post because it was a repeat of one I did for a 480 ruger, same bear on it and everything. But, when the guy came to pick up the 44 chest rig, he asked if I could to a sheath for an old knife. This is an old (we're guessing WW2) knife. Bakelite handle, U.S.N. on one side, and Colonial Mk1 on the other. It's in really good shape, and very sharp. It also has a very nice patina, no rust, must be stainless. I'm thinking aircrew? Anyway, did a sheathwith USN on the front. Seems appropriate to the age.

I wrapped the gun in the heavy plastic you use when you move. Then run the holster under warm water, shove the gun in where it needs to be. I have a vacuum set up, harbor freight pump and 26 mil bag that i use initially, but it's mostly buy hand as it dries.

Yeah, the nail worked great, didn't cut as much as pierce like an awl.

Another pancake holster. I have to admit I'm getting a little bored with this color scheme but, people seem to like it so I keep building them in this dark brown/light brown color. Going to get some blue, red and green dyes and try that. Did a double layer matching belt for this as well. All the same but 8/9 top and 5/6oz back. Hermann Oak 8/9 veg tan Fiebings dark brown and light brown Resolene 50/50 w/ water finish 277 bonded nylon top and bottom Cobra class 3 Dang I like this pistol!

Very nice! It's a shame about the snap. I originally used a 4 penny nail in a drill press that I file to a point. Just about the perfect size for larger thread.
