  1. A friend of mine just bought this for his son in New Mexico. He said he would've killed for a tool like this when he was younger. Anyway, it came in a plastic/fantastic and he hates those. Kind of a strange knife/cleaver/spatula? CRKT = Columbia River Knife and Tool.

    Travel Bag

    Pretty cool.
  3. I agree with Pastor Bob. Not really li,ing the single layer out on the end. Not sure what I could do to make that work better than an avenger or pancake. I do appreciate seeing something different though.
  4. Nice job! Never owned one... Feeling kinda deprived....
  5. I want a clicker press. I'm using a one ton harbor frieght arbor press with a two ton adapter (pipe!) On the handle. I've already broken one in half...
  6. Just the other day I went to use my cobra. The needle would go up and down, but would not feed. OMG! What is wrong. Just about to panic when I decided to try it in reverse... it was in the middle... Neutral I guess.. all good now. I'm still not totally un-clenched.
  7. I have a couple of denim bags filled with BB's I use for carving and tooling. And I found 4 old sad irons at a garage sale for 3 bucks each. I hitthemwith a wire wheel and glued some scrap on bottom for patterns.
  8. No, I have not compared them. For my tooling this works fine. If I did more sheridan style, that might change.
  9. I have also heard of using shark or stingray to get a rougher grip. Ne experience myself however.
  10. I sprung for some BK tools past winter after the wife got me a gift certificate from them. What a difference. After using the extra steep checkered beveler I just can't use anything else.
  11. Aussie may be right. Looks like your bevel is on the wrong side. Groove down the needle goes onthe left.

    First Purse

Very nice! She will be quite happy with that. I like the liner too.
  13. I think it's pretty cool. Could've done Harry Potter's buddy..
  14. Very nice Pastor Bob!
  15. Very neat.
  16. Welcome from Sequim,Washington. I lived in Kent for a few years as well. I think the wallet looks fine. You will always find places to improve with each project. I might suggest skiving down the edges to reduce bulk. But, that's nit picking. Nice job!
  17. Roger that Doc. Arthritis and my time is worth something. I bought a cobra class 3 and never looked back. Been about 2 years and many holsters, belts, knife sheaths, axe covers, and who knows what else. Wouldn't have been able to do all that by hand. But, I still do the occasional handstitched item that is just to small or awkward to fit in the machine.
  18. Seal the dickens out of it and slick it down.
  19. Sweet!
  20. Very pretty and well done. I agree with the perimeter stitching as well. But still, very well done.
  21. I'm in the process of doing a bunch of coasters for the local golf course. Definitely stamping them, not carving, except for the border. My attempts at carving and tooling remind me why I had a pretty non-artistic job most of my life. I can visualize and create just fine, but can't seem to draw a stick man without a ruler. Sheridan type/style floral is definitely harder for me.
