  1. Have you seen Cechaflo’s steering wheel stitches on YouTube? I don’t see this exact stitch but he has lots of variations that might give ideas. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoSIdv1C9uyR89bDwrd95ClwEfco6fqtg
  2. Beautiful, @ZigZag! Stitching, color, design, all look great.
  3. Ooh look, another knipex tool I need! Off topic but their ‘pliers wrench’ really is great if you have need for such tools.
  4. Welcome @EmptyHide! From the looks of your pics you’ll have plenty to contribute here.
  5. I’ll bet the new owner was thrilled. Nice work. If your stitching needed work before this job you certainly put in some practice hours here!
  6. That looks excellent, @HaloJones! Got any pics of the inside?
  7. I like it! Good kitty... back away... good kitty...
  8. That’s shaping up nicely! You’ll have a nice tool when you’re done.
  9. That monogram really pops, your lettering is great. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Really nice, @Bawarrior! The snake skin markings on the second one are especially striking.
  11. Nailed it! That’s a great looking bag, and the pleats look like they turned out perfect.
  12. @KristinaDRawlings thanks for this response, these are good words for many of us who periodically consider trying to turn our hobby into more of a money maker. @bryan4christ, you’ve gotten a lot of good feedback here. The one thing I haven’t seen asked in response is... are you any good at leather working? I’m not trying to be confrontational, but it seems to me the answer to each of your questions depends fairly heavily on your skill level and what you’re able to produce. I don’t think you’ve shown any of your work here, although I may have missed it. If you’re still listening here, show this community your products and you’ll get much more helpful answers.
  13. If you have time and materials available, this would be an excellent resource. I’m no woodworker but I made a simple pony out of scrap, one of these days I’d like to upgrade but in the meantime I saved a bit by making my own.
  14. I’d say you’re doing pretty well then... I’ve been a whole lot dumber than that more than once in the past two decades!
  15. Looks like you’re off and running, @Cylis007! Welcome aboard.
  16. Wow. That crest looks amazing. Thanks for sharing!
  17. It was a gift I gave, a case with slots for essential oil bottles. I’ve been thinking of making a pen case, lots of other projects to tackle first.
  18. That’s a great looking case! I did something much smaller than this a while ago and stitching the slots gave me fits. Looks like you’ve got that all figured out.
  19. The dragon is fun, I like him. If the break/brake mix-up bothers you (as it would me) you could re-tool the words on a new piece, cut this one at the second line below the pic, and stitch the new piece on to butt up against the bottom of the colored image. I think it could be done in such a way as to look intentional. Either way, nice work and thanks for sharing.
  20. Those are gorgeous. Your decorative cuts are excellent and the coloring is beautiful.
  21. I see the appeal of this design, but I would almost consider turning the iPad pocket around so that it faces outward, and then adding a closure of some sort to keep it from falling out. This would address the issue @RockyAussie alludes to regarding contact between the rings and the iPad. This would also allow you to stitch the ‘bottom’ of the pocket out a bit such that the iPad is never crushed against the rings like it could be with the design you’ve shown, if it slips toward the spine in use. Just a thought, plenty of ways to skin this cat.
  22. Huh, you look different than I expected. That makes sense to me. The shape will be a little different, but should be close enough to still work fine.
  23. Thanks @fredk! I’ll definitely have to try that, would be a huge improvement over gripping the regular beveler and running it along.
