Flannel lined laptop sleeve
Retswerb replied to dsamarin's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Ahhh that’s the worst. Nice looking case, someone smaller-laptopped will enjoy it! Thanks for posting. -
Victorinox Compact Sheath
Retswerb replied to sunyjim's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Cool! Keep making, keep improving, keep sharing. -
Side carry Pocket knife
Retswerb replied to wizcam's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Cool! Informal rule around here: we all like to see the knife that’s headed into a new sheath - got any more pics? -
My first purse
Retswerb replied to Albob's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Hoo boy, that’s a beautiful bag! If you’ve got a significant other of your own I hope her bag needs are already tended or I can see some jealousy on the horizon. ;-) -
I like the name, definitely a nice rrrrring to it. The three font thing really stood out to me in the logo though as well, looks disjointed. If you draw a horizontal line across the middle of the logo, the top half looks great and has nice impact. The lower half looks unfinished to me. Just my $0.02. Edited to add: Now that you’ve got your stamp, let’s see how the leather impression looks!

Most recent knife and sheath
Retswerb replied to Rossr's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Keep posting, I love seeing them. I’d say this is one of the nicest rolled edges I’ve seen. -
Great looking bag, with a nice useful accessory system - nice work! I'm curious about the Velcro rather than permanent attachments - do you expect to be moving the interior bits around often? Thanks for posting all the pics, you’ve definitely got my mind running about the rabbit holes I could fall down.

Nice work as usual. The stitching on the strap ends really sets it off. Thanks for continuing to post your stuff here, I always love to see it.
-
Nice find, looks like you’ve brought new life to it.

Off to a good start. Chisel punches are nice to give the thread a nice consistent angle. Learn the steps of each stitch and repeat them exactly so that each stitch lays the same.

Celtic Hounds Wallet

Very cool. The tooling is great, the color looks good, and you’re right - the houndstooth is perfect. -
Two New Estwing Hatchet Sheaths
Retswerb replied to Vikefan's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Looks good! Do the axes hang well? I made a couple of hatchet sheaths this year and struggled to get the balance right, they kept wanting to lean back and tip the blade up at the front. -
Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!

I’ll bet the dogs looked sharp in those. Nice work.

I started looking at the strop but then I got distracted by the shop! Nice work, the leaf looks great.
-
Nice! Something like that would make a nice birthday gift for my mom, who also loves her kindle.
-
Those are great. I like the second D ring, that’s a functional addition.

Pendant knife sheath
Retswerb replied to HeatherAthebyne's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
This is excellent. Thanks for sharing the pics! -
Nice! My wife has made them from canvas and sold them to my coworkers for years. I’ve been intending to make a leather one but my canvas ones are still holding up so I’m not too motivated yet.

Tooled Make Up Bag
Retswerb replied to Tim Schroeder's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
That’s a beautiful piece. What’s the leather? It tooled nicely but also folded under nicely for the stitching. -
Tablet cover from scrap
Retswerb replied to Simplejack1985's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Looks great! What’s the leather? Did you line it to protect the rivets from scratching? -
Scalpel Scabbards
Retswerb replied to AlexOstacchini's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Those are functional and attractive, nice job. I haven’t seen those scalpels before, I’m going to have to order one to check it out. -
These are very cool - thanks for sharing!
