  1. There are several good utube videos for cowboy 3200 tension setting it is basically the same machine.
  2. Welcome aboard! I was in the same spot a few years ago, was out of it for a long time before returning, I think I enjoy it more now then before. It seems to come back with some patience and practice then some more practice. Enjoy
  3. I would be interested in the books but not sure what they are worth. What would you take for the pair? Where are you in Okla. I am about 40 miles from the western Okla state line. Thanks Rodney
  4. The Barry king snap sitters are wonderful, struggled with all brands of snaps prior, the king setter cured 95% of the problems and they are very reasonable about $30 each. Hope this helps

    Singer 111w155

Singer 111w155 for sale—new servo, commercial table, double thread stand. Works great, no problems. Sorry I can’t send pictures, don’t know how. Pick up only 80 miles ne of Amarillo, Texas. Come sew on it, it will sew about 3/8” leather. $600 Thanks
  8. Tandy has a roll of what appears to me would work, look under lace, I have a roll that I have had for awhile but don’t remember the price. Hope this helps
  9. The recommended “kit” will save you a little money direct from Barry, I have used his tools for some time. You could start with one or two here and there but believe me you will end up with all that are in the kit so why not get it to start with if the budget allows. I don’t think you can go wrong with his tools!
  10. I have and use the king snap setters but not with buckle guy snaps, I would think there isn’t much difference in setting any of them. What’s the question?
  11. Guns kill people, matches cause fires, and spoons make people fat, just ask the democrats
  12. Barry King is a good choice, but there are a lot of excellent makers. Chuck Smith, Leather Wrangler, Henley , Clay Miller, etc. they all make good knives and blades. Bob Beard pro series is top shelf also. In my opinion barrel size depends on what you are carving and personal preference. I like a 3/8” barrel for Sheridan and floral carving, you can turn tight curves better, for long straight lines a larger barrel and blade is easier to use I also prefer a 1/4” straight blade for the Sheridan carving, but it really all comes down to personal preference. If you can hold and use some different sizes that may help. A lot is also what you get use too. Hope that is of some help.
  13. If I was out of line I apologize! I just get a little upset when people start knocking other people’s work or efforts. Some of us just appreciate others efforts. So JLS I apologize to you for being out of line. I am sure JLS is a very talented and nice person, so please forgive me
  14. I am sure none of it matters to you what anyone thinks but if someone is putting info out there to help others some of us appreciate not only the content but the effort involved to give us that info free of charge! People like you and your negative comments make those giving that free info tend to think why bother, so for those of us who don’t know everything we would like to see that info that people like Don Gonzales and others are kind enough to put out there for us to learn and enjoy. In other words if you can’t say something good you should keep your mouth shut!!
  15. Gosh JLS leather I must have missed all those good utube videos that you put out that were so helpful! I am sure they are there because of all your expertise! Sorry but negative people tend to piss me off!
  16. Excellent video, I have been tooling for a lot of years and Dons videos are very helpful and full of information no matter what your experience level is. You seem to always learn or re-learn something in his videos.
  17. I have ordered several times from them with no problems what so ever.
