  1. lol I'm so fat i look like one of those circus bears riding my bike, the bib overalls don't help either.
  2. I agree its still buyer beware for much of their stuff. But i hope they can.
  3. I like them but the stitching is a bit close for my holsters problem is 7spi is the widest stitch they come in. I know a lot of folk don't like Tandy stuff but these are nice a bit pricey though IMO.
  4. they aren't soft lol 10 oz leather mildly formed is all, these aren't gun fighting holsters they are for using out in the wilds of Wyoming. Folks like them because they are fat folk friendly and ride well in atvs, trucks and such. Dyed canyon tan with a nice coat of Feibings golden mink oil.
  5. sure! they are the fine diamond chisels from Tandy and i bought them because they were 50 % off so i picked up a couple in 3,5mm. they are much better than the off brand ones i was given. I had a set of cheapos from a leather set off amazon that i was given, they were almost square and the tines would bend, i had to straighten them after about four holes lol. So when these came on sale i thought i better get them. it comes from my folks not allowing me to cuss "damn" would have gotten me slapped upside my head or a mouthful of soap. lol It was quite a common word for kids in my day.
  6. Thanks a bunch your comments will save a lot of folk as well as me some thinking that's for sure. I mainly work with holster and sheaths, thick stuff but a guy never knows who may ask for what lol.
  7. dang what an easy answer lol. I can do that. I thank you!
  8. Please don't think i was trying to be a smart a## with my comment you brought up really good points but said nothing about how to accomplish them. when do you use a cast? how do you determine spacing? how do you determine size of thread? Me i read and watched then practiced and practiced more its quite easy to stick two needles through a hole but as you said doing it so that it looks good from every aspect, hole size, thread size, corners etc. is the intended outcome i think for anyone. I just bought new and good diamond chisels which brought up a question when you get to a corner how do you change the direction of the holes so the stitch sits correctly in it? the slits go from one direction to another is that a problem or an overthink?
  9. ok so now please explain how do you do all that? i think that's what he wanted to know. i wouldn't mind either lol.

  12. beautiful work, you sure got that outside border camo stamp even all the way around did you measure? Looks like a trapdoor by the butt plate.
  13. excellent work!!! i would leave the deer and acorns natural and darken the background, maybe dye the leaves lightly green. Then antique to bring out the basket weave.
  14. cmon you know you gotta make it sound much more complicated or scientific lol maybe some math involved also.
  15. heck no it aint right. Here it s gubment laws that make it impossible to scrounge. Our gubment is run by lobbyists that control our puppet politicians. Those lobbyists sell products so don't want anything really reused or should i say reused by the consumers. so they make it illegal due to "health reasons". True recycling here in the US is a farce at best with as you know every person taught to discard the old and buy the new. People here have even lost the ability to fix anything they own or even take care of themselves in the most simple ways, cant sew, cant cook, but they can damn sure get an app that sells them clothes or tells them where a restaurant is. People here are getting around that to by curbside giveaways also, they set stuff out a couple days before hauling it to the dumps.
  16. we have a guy here in town that delivered newspapers all his life and well up into his 60s on his bike. You could set your watch by him he just loved the job and to ride his bike. Our local paper has shut down so now he just rides to work.

  21. oh heck yea i put a few miles on it this summer , nothin like an early morning cruise on some classic iron. lol she's hanging in the garage now waiting on spring to come.
  22. if it has a letter or initial or custom anything its full 100% up front. if they are good honest folks its no problem they understand. Had a guy the other day wanted three plain holsters and a couple mag carriers. gave me two guns for patterning then asked me if i wanted money in advance too i laughed and said i trust you i have two of your guns lol.
