  2. semantics Look it Although there is no definite difference between handmade and handicraft, there is a slight difference in their usage. The term handmade can be used to describe a product made by assembling already manufactured products while handicrafts are typically made completely by hand or with the use of simple tools. HANDMADE [han(d)ˈmād] ADJECTIVE made by hand, not by machine, and typically therefore of superior quality. "his expensive handmade leather shoes" handcrafted [ˈhan(d)ˌkraftəd] ADJECTIVE made skillfully by hand. "a handcrafted rocking chair" So their you have it, the definition of the words Handmade is with out machine Handcrafted is skillfully made I guess that if it is handmade then it is not skillfully made, LOL kinda like my leather work I am not up to handcrafted yet..
  3. With out looking in a Websters, I think hand crafted means it is a one of a kind piece made by a person the tools used are of no matter. On the other Hand, [pun intended] Hand made, brings visions of a sweat shop with 35 sewing machines buzzing away...armed guard in the back ground flies buzzing around Hearing a dog bark Su Chin looks up from the sewing machine and sees the sun rays stream down to the dusty floor . She was 5 years old when she was first forced ........................

  9. A friend asked me to make a bag that will hold binoculars, roll of toilet paper, and a sprite [ LOL I swear, that is what he said] those were the parameters of my build elk hide from SLC I made a ''box'' out of veg/tan 4oz/6oz the bottom is 3 pieces of veg/tan / stacked and glued covered the ''box'' with the elk hide and used an 1/8'' black lase in a S stitch, except the front as a clasp, I used a deer bone, [front leg] cut/sanded/ the strap is stamped with a brass buckle for adjustment
  10. powder coating you can use this machine, it worked fine for me, you need to sand blast or bead blast all parts before coating, , other wise you may get some rough / ugly spots do not touch the parts with your bare hands after sand blasting. use gloves [oil on your skin] any area that has to have a tight fit when assembled needs masking off. i spent 4 hours sliding a bolt in and out of a receiver to wear the coating down enough for smooth operation after spraying, you can either let hang dry or bake. i used a old gym locker with a simple hot plate on the bottom to heat hanging gun barrels be advised.. no dust can be present while drying...mask off an area with plastic,or you risk getting the fuzzies if you lave the air brush dirty, you need to buy a new one,,,dont ask, just take my word on that
  11. A few changes, I was not happy with the look
  12. Learning how to make a purse This is elk hide and veg tan The veg tan is wet formed, then I made a frame using the veg tan wrapped it in elk hide, added a strap in the middle to help with the shape. Straps are not made yet, nor is the clasp
  13. At age 18 this [Bottom picture] was my air gun, I was in charge, I told the flight crew what they could and could not do in MY BUFF As I grew older, I had to give my BUFF to another younger whipper snapper. then my attention was focused on a different type of air gun.

  19. conducted an experiment using natural stain polyurethane water based , and a licorice color acrylic I use a hair dryer to speed drying times here are my steps and findings It looks good, and is scratch resistant, very shiny
  20. drill the broken screw nout you need to break out the dremal tool with an abrasive cut off wheel,,,run the dremal and wear the abrasive wheel down on a piece of metal,to the size you feel is small enough for the task very carefully, cut groove in the busted screw, then use small screw driver in the groove to back the screw out
