  1. Your work is looking really good. Your stitching is great. I was thinking about making a briefcase for my wife. What type and weight leather did you use for this one? I like the color. It looks like you used felt to line it and make pockets? Thanks for posting, I'm sure the gentleman in Singapore will be very happy with it. Probably one of children too, the way that thing is made.
  2. Happy for ya, Swede. It's nice to be able to do a project that you've been wanting to do. Be sure to post pics when you get 'em done.

    WINSTON

That's really good work. The colors are really lifelike. Good job.
  4. I think that a woodgrain tutorial would be a great opportunity to learn at the feet of the King. Hey Kev, how can I join the fan club?
  5. Man, I'm gonna have to quit doing wallets now! You're putting me to shame brother. LOL Really cool design, and I love that liner. Keep it up.
  6. Kevin, I have Corel Draw 10 ( I think it's 10) also have Photoshop 7 and Adobe Illustrator.
  7. That looks great. I would have never thought to combine the Thunder Cats and floral carving. Awesome.
  8. I use waxed Irish linen thread from Royalwood Ltd in Ohio. www.royalwoodltd.com I also use harness needles, those egg eye needles suck. I use needle nose pliers too.
  9. Freak, that's really awesome work. I especially like the initials with the "swirly swoopy" things on them. You did a great job on this piece. How do you do the woodgrain? Freehand with a swivel knife I'm guessing. Great looking piece.
  10. Roger, that's some killer work. Great design and top notch tooling. Very good job.
  11. Have you tried handstitching? Works for me.
  12. Strider Knives has a step by step tutorial of a modified cord wrap using para cord: http://www.striderknives.com/index.php?opt...3&Itemid=29 If you want to know how to do it the traditional way: http://pages.prodigy.net/tlbuck/tsuka/tsuka.htm Here's a link for a video: http://www.texasknife.com/store/s-pages/TK...deos1.htm~smain
  13. The tattoo book that Tandy sells has several cool green man patterns.
  14. I like to use a groover and the make sure the stitches are flat by tapping them with a mallet after I'm done stitching.
  15. Wow, that is really amazing. I agree with Drac, I'd do something to all the rivets so they don't distract from the overall look. You do really amazing work. How many hours do you have in this and how much leather? Is this functional? Could someone actually walk around in it or do activity like LARP? Would it be reasonably comfortable to wear?
  16. Thanks broncobuster, still not quite what I'm looking for. Luke, thanks, but I can get that in 100 foot rolls. Looking for something a little different than what everyone uses.
  17. Man that's really amazing stuff. I still think you should submit a resume to one of the movie companies to make costumes for them. Are the lions tooled then dyed? Post pics when you get the rest of it done. How much time do you have in this one?
  18. Those are beautiful. I really like the contrast between the black of the seat and the rest of the saddle. Great looking work. I agree with freak though(and isn't that a scary thought), you may need to break out the feed bag a little more often. LOL.
  19. I like the Walden in caps with Bags in caps below, and maybe one of the mottoes along the bottom border on the curve of the oval. What about a slight change in the motto to "Elegance in Simplicity"? How does that strike you?

    Leather Skulls

Very cool. If you want to waterproof them, you could use Pecard's. Or if you want a shiny look, something like Neat-Lac would probably work. I prefer Pecard's.
  21. Nice boots if you like that style, but his idea of handstitching and mine are a little different. Across the river in Jersey: www.xianleather.com
  22. That'll work. I'll send you a pm.
