  1. Well, tell us you at least let her pick the THREAD COLOR! Oh, and can I recommend conway buckles for dog collars? I don't do too many collars these days, but I like the little clip (button) buckles for smaller dogs and conway buckles for larger dogs -- both allow you to buckle the collar on and off without pulling the strap PAST where it fits.
  2. that DOES look familiar. Looks like you mighta skipta stitch 'er 2?
  3. Hopefully I can irritate you into learning even more To begin the irritation, check out and download some [free] holster patterns and PUH LEEZE alter them so they're more betterer. https://www.jlsleather.com/diy/holster-patterns-diy/ Instead of dumpin ammo at the range, you can dump your BUSINESS CARDS
  4. Holster patterns still where they were -- just the side bar has changed.
  5. #$@#$%!@!@$% WEB DESIGNS Granted, it's just wordpress. That may be the problem. Started to pay somebody, but explaining what I want almost seemed longer than jsut doing it. So, I start putting in a few things, get it WORKING, and THEN enter most of the "goods". Just about got it in the works, when the thing pretty much "decided" to "upgrade" wordpress (to 5 point something), and suddenly the shipping calculator is useless and I get messages about plug-ins not tested with that version of WP. Sigh .... Oh, and $79/year for USPS labels I would consider CHEAP for that service, print postage right from there. But SO many people on the site whining about the bugs in that ...
  6. Uh... Sandy is at the link in the blue globe under my post
  7. Well, SHOOOT - I cudda punched the slots if I knew that! I had slot punches made by Sandy 'n' friends at INTL DIE and by the foiks at USA Cutting Die (TX custom)-- both work well. Mine are 1.5" x just under 1/4", so when I burnish the slot I END UP with 1/4" wide. You could get away with a tad wider side to side, but I like em close vertically. Don't remember what I paid fer 'em , but I'm pretty sure it's LESS than those osborne punches, and mine actually cut
  8. Createx is fine, but you will have to thin it.
  9. No, it isn't. But you seem to miss the distinction. When people ask me what machine they should get, I tell 'em you're better off asking Bob (Toledo Ind). Need clicker dies made? Sandy does that very well (Int'l Die Co). Wanting "dummy" mags to mold clip carriers? Email Wayne (on this forum). And I have more. But a referral for somebody who did a good job for you is hardly an "ad". In fact, I don't have any patience at all for those who WON'T refer someone who did them a good service. STILL, some things are ads, and I don't mind ads at all. So why not call it that? Why the ruse? Is the product so much like every other that it needs THE HYPE?
  10. Not liking certain people? No idea where you got that ... cuz I didn't say that. All I said was if there's nothing "wrong" with selling, then why not just call it that?
  11. Yup - I bought a "cheap" pneumatic stapler for $19 .... wanted to "shoot" new aluminum soffitt on the house before hanging new siding. YEARS later, that gun still works great! Uses the same staples as other brands, attaches to the same air hose and couplings, .. only thing missing is the COMMERCIALS and HYPE
  12. I haven't watched them all. And I'm not going to. But that's largely what "videos" are -- ads. Since there were 2 mentions of Harry Rogers back to back, I clicked over there. Sure enough ... "just to be quite transparent about it .." he says, his "video" is "sponsored" by somebody making "leather burnishers". Now, while this guy AND the guy making the "burnishers" (which is a motor with a piece of wood with grooves in it) might BOTH be friendly fellows, the desired outcome is sell you this "burnisher". I'm not even suggesting that somebody SHOULDN'T go buy a couple of them, maybe an extra for the garage too. But cut the crap... it's an AD. A commercial. Marketing. Not my site ... and in the end it makes no difference to me where or what section to post in -- just a suggestion.
  13. Mods count!
  14. Little girl is cute. But I wont be using my daughter in an ADVERTISEMENT. Nope.
  15. Maybe move this to the 'ads' section?
  16. That's actually why I STOPPED doing that curve in the belt. True, the inside can get "wrinkly" from gluing it flat and then bending it, but worse is gluing it on a curve can cause wrinkles in the top when it's straightened.
  17. So that's like 13 oz leather? That sounds heavy for that size, but I do like the design.
  18. If I "make" a zipper, it's usually a #5 zipper - which is a "size" - and metal teeth. Zipper "tape" & pulls are sold as "#5" and should match - the stops should be pretty standard.
  19. Really? Comin' up on the first 100 downloads, and no pics at all?
  20. Very nice (again). Great coloring (as is usual) including selection of background and thread color. Consistent stitching. Clear but subtle identity mark. This looks great!
  21. Other way around. Printed, THEN embossed. Simple stuff IF the right equipment. In the "old days" (25-30 years back) that's how multi-color pages were made, maybe in some garage somewhere it still is ... print one color, then line it up ("register" it) and print next color ....
  22. Ordinarily, I hate wrinkles. I do not like them in a box, or with a fox, or with a goat. But ya pulled it off and made it work well on that notebook
  23. Ya needa butter yer flapjacks. By that I mean smooth out them there wrinkles. Modeling tool and them wrinkles come out of W/C leather just like butterin' yer toast (which may explain the price?). Wrinkles not okay, even on the back. I don't think it looks all that bad, though I do wonder if that angle isn't a bit steep once it's on the belt. Well, for my wrists anyway.
