  1. Checked both of my needle books, neither one mentions an Adler 48 class of any type.
  2. Def. need more info., what model machine, maybe some pics and a video?
  3. This is a common problem when people add caster wheels to either a home made unit or when adding castors to standard K legs that come with sewing machines; the bottom front brace or bar becomes raised too high, where the treadle is now floating six inches off of the floor. Provisions should be made to lower the lower bar.
  4. No! 1st you have to beat yourself senseless with chains, kick the cat, pull your hair out, then run a triathlon. If your not doing things the hard way, your not doing it right!
  5. Gary, Good to hear about your positive experience. Anyone can sell you a machine, but everybody is looking for service. Our business has always been like that, now more than ever.
  6. 91-069160-04/000 is Pfaff part number for timing belt for a 463
  7. 704 screw is a common screw as far as industrial sewing machines go, and is commonly the set screw for the hook supporting plate / bobbin case position finger on a Singer 241- for example. Same as a Consew 206RB, under Consew/Seiko part number 6025. As said, 11/64-40 thread pitch.
  8. No fight here! The book is the book, other needle books didn't go into the H1 and H2 machines, I do stand corrected. Learned something new, sweet!
  9. Pfaff H3 and below take a system 134-35 (Not a 134). Pfaff H4 takes, again, by the book, a system 190 needle. Hope this helps!
  10. I like the concept at least, not everyone needs a Durkopp Adler 969 for ten grand...
  11. Juki and Singer needle bars are not going to work here, find a suitable replacement, or just use the machine as it is, many machines with broken needle bar thread guides are out there working just fine. Not ideal, but not worth ripping the machine apart for either unless you feel necessary.
  12. My Samsara cue would look great inside that cue case, really nice, custom looking case.
  13. Interesting, I'm not really sure, Pfaff does offer for some subclass machines a needle bar without guide. Maybe it was replaced with one of these?
  14. Interesting, not too often does a model pop up that I've never heard of or seen before, but not too far fetched either. I've attached a bit more information that I have on this class, hope this helps. 236WClass.pdf
  15. See attached, it appears the needle bar thread guide is broken off from the needle bar.
  16. We are convinced here that Triflow has magical properties.
  17. Consew is a 206RB? Chandler is a Durkopp Adler 267-? I would do some more research of your own machines and report back, so people who care to comment can have accurate information to work with.
  18. Correct, Singer 111W155 walking foot machines use the same presser feet as the Consew 227R-2. This is a good thing, as this is a very common presser foot set, and a wide variety is readily available.
  19. Thanks for mentioning us, $1,610 is shipped price to business or commercial address within contiguous US, or $1,485 for store pick up. This includes sewn off machine, fully assembled power stand with servo motor. I don't like giving prices on the message board, but just wanted to be clear that it's less for a store pick up. Thanks again.
  20. Through PMs and other contact with posters, this thread has come into focus better, and I now have more information than I had to start with. There are some things people are seeing here than were not fully explained, now I know. I'll stand down, and stay out of this one for sure. Glad to see others willing to help, it means a lot to the message board community here.
  21. OK, so from what I've read here so far, and correct me if I make any errors here but, here's the gist of the story; Customer buys machine, as stated, in working order. Customer likely jams machine and then starts to take it apart. Kind of like if someone were to hear a knock in their Ford and decides to take apart the transmission. Customer then proceeds to bash company they purchased from on a message board, even without contacting them, allowing them to correct the situation or offer solutions. They may not even be aware of the customer's situation. Customer then contacts every person they can find to complain to, and then has almost a dozen different opinions of what they should do. Some good, some bad, some very generous like here on the message board. Am I missing something here, or incorrect about anything here? Because I'm about ready to let someone know how I really feel about this thread.
  22. Oldie but goodie, I wish all manuals were that good. Most are not even close.
  23. Gottaknow and brmax are on the correct path for sure, I was just thinking about this book section on 111W repair. See attached in case you don't have this one.http://keysew.com/Webpages/DemoImages/USNavySinger111WConsew225REPAIR.pdf
  24. Bobbin case and bobbin are the same physical items for both, and can be interchanged. Hooks are different and use different parts. Hope this helps.
