I don't think you can be a freak and simply the best at the same time, unless it's simply the best freak.

My "Arty" leather collars and such...
Jordan replied to Tina's topic in Collars, Cuffs, Leashes and Leads
Batting. A fill material used in quilts pillows and such. -
it's working, looks interesting I have worked with wood as a hobby for years probably not hard to build at all. I am slowly working on a potters wheel with some plans I found online. at times it seems like I'll never get it done.

Jordan replied to Drac's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have to add the holster is very good, I like the design and for a first one it's very well done. -

Chemicals in chrome tanned will evevntually damage the finish of the pistol/revolver But a suede liner? is it chrome tanned also? -
Excellent, good color, very clean sewing, I noticed on one of the rivets the same problem I have when the stud is a bit to long. It makes that dimple, one of the books I have recommends no more than 1/16" sticking above the level of the leather. That works pretty good for me, except when I give the setter to good of a thump with the mallet.

Beautiful dogs, gotta love um. I'll venture to say that donnie was abused at some point, and it does take along time to work with them, but then again my jack pees on everything, he's saying I own this and this and this and......LOL My guess is maybe donnie got a fish hook with some bait on it, my parents had a daschund that happened to had to cut the hook it to get it out be4 she tore her tongue real bad. Glad to see so many animal lovers around here.

Our little angel was a puppymill producer for years was so abused she just curled up in a ball, shes 11 or more the vet doesn't really know, had to have most of her teeth removed , broken etc, it has taken 2 years but she is now acting like a dog loves attention, but still very skitish. Buddy was a runaway one of two and the owners took the other one but not him back, he is one of the happiest dogs I have ever seen! Bear was an abused runaway and we got him the day the pound was going to do him in, said he was unadoptable.he's a great dog but still a runner, many a mile on the car chasing him down the first month or two. Washoe was another puppymill producer, she is less than a year old and was forced to have 3 litters already. It is absolutely deplorable what humans do to animals, they are wonderful to have around and they have the ability for unconditional love, not so much with humans. There is a manhunt going on right now for some poor excuse for a man that left 14 puppies in a dumpster all but 1 died. I hope the powers that be make an example of him. Theres a sad eyed one for ya.

I had a dalmation named tripper-dipper for 12 years, deaf from birth he was a great dog learned sign language pretty good. He got pretty bad physically towards the end and it was a very sad day I had to put him down. Miss him always, still see him occasionally curled up by the fireplace. Some days around here I feel like I live in a kennel LOL. Just couldn't let them be killed, The vet told me once when she was checking one of our jacks " Out the the 4 of us in the room buddy-boy is probably the smartest". They are a real handful gotta stay one step ahead or they will run you.

Showing off three of our four rescued friends. Angel-Baby, Buddy-Boy, Boo-Bear and me, oops that makes four, our other one is too quick to photograph, Washoe. Thats 2 jack russels one border collie and a chiuauha (sp) and the biggest mutt is me.

Hi Curtis, glad to see you post some of your stuff here.. Very nice work as usual..Jordan -
In my old searches I was probably using the wrong key words. Thanks for the links, I have bookmarked them and will peruse them at my leisure. I've got to make a few bands for the farmers market in the spring, which can't come soon enough. I get more tired of this winter thing every year. An Arizona move is in the cards for me & the family by this time next year! Can't afford to move back to California anymore.

Saw one at tandy the other day to much for my pocketbook right now. They hadn't had any for a few months due to a supply problem, I was told if I did buy one to stock up on blades as they are hard to get sometimes. I think it was made to do mainly fringe but it looks like it would do straps also. I just use the wooden strap cutter they sell works ok for low volume work.

What happened to the Vargas pinup avatar that one is way cool. Have always had a liking for vargas since I saw my 1st one at about 11 yrs old! heheheh

Thank You that is exactly what I was looking for. I don't know why all my prior searches never turned them up. Thanks again...Jordan

Find one of those big ol paper cutters like they had in grade school and sharpen the snot outta the blade, just a thought, don't know if it would work but they do work on those self stick floor tiles. I have seen um at second hand stores and swap meets

Concealed Carry Gunbelts
Jordan replied to gunfighter48's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I like them alot, very clean looking and sturdy. Just the thing so's not to broadcast to any but the astute observer that you are protecting yourself in public -
Wish I could cut sharp crisp lines like that, mine look like someone failing the sobriety test, practice practice practice, cutting lines, not for the test.

A couple of holsters
Jordan replied to Jordan's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
thanks guys, that first one did take alot of work what with all the different parts. Used up alot of brain cells figuring it out, especially sewing the clip in the strap to hide most of it and allow for a shirt to be tucked in between, the extra layer to keep the mouth open to reholster. Wish I had a resale Lic. and OTB catalog at the time then I would have gone with a black clip of better construction compared to the tandy chrome one. Plus I need to use a bit thinner leather to allow for larger wings to form to the hip better on the inside of the pants. Live and learn I guess it's all part of the journey. -
I should have clarified that the finished band isn't mine, but is the pattern I used to loosely design the others. The one I did finish sold already.
