  1. Those are nice...I like the looks of several of them.
  2. Differences between rouges... http://www.ehow.com/info_8266409_jewelers-rouge-colors.html http://www.pjtool.com/jewelers-rouge-chart.aspx
  3. +1 what foamerace said... For the record, I did not "badmouth" anyone. I agreed with another poster about the lack of availability of any color except black and white.
  4. Why is the top one embossed so much deeper than the one you did?
  5. I don't think you should have to talk to people that are not nice when buying supplies. If you'd rather deal with nice people, send me a PM and I will let you know who I buy my buckles from and I don't have to feel like I'm walking on eggshells to buy from him either. Oh, and my source will ship via First Class mail instead of forcing you to use Priority Mail too.
  6. Wear them. Wouldn't hurt to make a few parachute jumps in them too. Should get that look after walking a few hundred miles in them. You'd need to spit shine them too (the toe caps) but it would take me hours to explain the correct way to do that on here.
  7. Are you using extra long post snaps?
  8. fixed so people can read the phone number better.
  9. Wish I could fix your bobbin problem...other than checking the spring screw on the bobbin case hasn't come loose, I'm not sure what else might cause that... BTW, can you please let me know where to buy the hardware for NATO watchbands? I'd like to make a couple for myself for a nice Vietnam era Glycine Airman watch I sometimes wear...
  10. Just a guess, but maybe he prefers the saddle stitch to the lockstitch of a machine. I use my machine to punch holes prior to saddle stitching, but even with the leather foot on it I still have to put something under it to keep it from marking up the leather so it is a bit of a struggle.
  11. ok thanks I'll go see what they have.
  12. Does anyone know where to find US-made trigger snaps in stainless steel? I know about Ohio Travel Bag, but I do not have a resale certificate and I do not know if theirs are made in the US. I'd like to find some that are as nice as the ones I bought locally several years ago. I checked the same place I bought them back then and they are now made in Malaysia and look like they were sand-cast very badly. They are very rough and pitted instead of smooth metal. Thanks for any leads...I don't need and cannot buy them in the hundreds or thousands. I need a place I can buy around five or ten at a time.
  13. Have you tried calling Fasnap on the phone yet?
  14. The longest I've seen them have are 5/16". You might try calling them. They may just not have them and on their website.
