  1. Well that timing couldn't be worse.... Our local manager told me awhile back that the new CEO was about to make some big changes in the pricing. She said they were going to get rid of the the membership levels and cut pricing across the board to start being competitive. At least in Canada and the states. Sorry for your loss.
  2. I had a friend that had this on his old Nextel phone. I bet they would work great for holsters. Really heavy duty and if you rotate it totally upside down it can slide off the keeper. Otherwise, it stays firmly in it's swivel mode. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372086748648
  3. I have been enjoying this ladies' patterns. https://www.leatherdiypattern.com/ Here is a bag I did of hers..... And here is my lovely wife showing off her bag. It was a Valentine's present.
  4. That's a great idea for the soles. And the shoes look good.
  5. That's awesome. Congratulations
  6. I was in a rush and just wanted to pass along that it wasn't a working link in case the OP wanted to know. Thanks.
  7. Kevin Lee is behind Crazy Cut Leather. You can find him by name on Facebook and Instagram (he has a pretty large following). I have acquired a few of his smaller knives and they come really sharp. I haven't had them under long term use yet, but I think they will be fine. It's just not our daddy's China anymore. There are a lot of quality products coming in from China these days. Kevin Lee, Wuta, and Kizer knives are three that I have found to be bringing quality to the American market for much less than the American companies with the same materials and similar quality. Is there still a ton of cheap stuff coming from China, sure, but there are some quality suppliers as well. I carry a Kizer pocket knife daily. It's Cnc machined out of VG-10 and it holds a wicked working edge. A very nice EDC for under 60 bucks. I also have my "going out" knife. Sv-35 (?) with a titanium frames in the Lefty model for 140ish. These are nice knives made in China.
  8. I'm guessing that is a proprietary closure built for Gucci.
  9. This one is a great value. It will take a minute to arrive though. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F153381008578
  10. Glad I could help.
  11. I think you are looking for either a swivel knife bead blade or a push beader. Both can be found here. I haven't used either very much, but I think this is what you are talking about. Both can be found here.... http://www.barrykingtools.com/handtools.htm
  12. Most electricians pouches I have seen are pretty simple designs. Just basically wet formed panels around the tools you want to carry on top of a firm narrow pocket. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
  13. Does everyone there wear a vest? I do. I'm probably the only American carpenter sporting a blakladder. I really like my kangaroo vest.
  14. You have a link to your website for all these sales items?
  15. I have an awl haft made from some exotic wood turned by a member here. It was too small in the hand so I ordered another from him. I took the small one and snapped off a JJ needle and screwed it in. That was three years ago. Works fine for fine marking and I enjoy using it.
  16. I'm sure someone has some. But, if not, you can always buy one and reverse engineer it.
  17. I got the Lefty model in ebony in the picture. I haven't gotten to use it yet, but it's sharp.
  18. I have three of his knives now. Although two of them I just got and haven't really tested yet. They are all D2 and the one I have had for a bit holds a nice edge. It is the small pattern cutting knife for 26 bucks. And, I like it. I think for the investment he brings a nice tool to the table. Shipping takes a minute. But, hey, it's usually free.
  19. It is daunting to say the least. I fell pretty deep down the Tandy hole starting out, before I found this site. I wasted a lot of money and effort, before learning any skill to amount to anything. And there are so many skills to develop, and different disciplines to persue. Each having their own processed or order of assembly. Gosh, it really is mindnumbing when you stop and think about it for a second. There are so many things in so many variations with different, uses, needs, materials, styles of hardware, textures, lacing, all the different types of stitching, not counting all the endless machine stitching, decorative elements, structural needs, comforts against the skin, protection of firearms, care for tools, safety of animals, fashion sense to make something saleable, conditioning, muscle memory, and at the end of the day some prick doesn't think it's worth more than Walmart pricing. It's the most fun frustration one can bring upon themselves.
  20. I liked what I saw, but I have never heard of him until this thread, thanks.
  21. Or get you one from Crazy cut leather on eBay. He has some D2 steel knives that are easy on the eyes and pocket book.
  22. Oh I'm nothing special.... More of a reader and collector of tools than a leather crafter. I produce very little. But, I am a great cheerleader.
