  1. Pic resizer is the app I use. This forum is great in a lot of ways. Handling attachments is not one of those ways. Editing may have a post minimum. It's pretty easy once you can. I see you can edit now
  2. Yeah, that is a shame. He sounds like a good dude. I hope you all are able to give him a good send off.
  3. Sweet! A collaboration! This needs it's own thread guys. Document the hell out of it! Pics, narrative, whys and hows.
  4. Good looking sling! I do wonder though, having the extra weight out there forward like that how it'll affect sway and fatigue.
  5. Try the microbevel out and see if you like how it works better. From my experience with knives, most have microbevels anyhow, depending on how the knife was sharpened, so it may not make a appreciable difference.
  6. That looks really good. I too am concerned about no welt, be careful in the event you bend down and put the knife through the stitching and into your leg or worse Did you leave the flesh side fuzzy on purpose because if not, you could maybe hit it with some gum trag and stick it down some. That knife is mega cool.
  7. Beautiful work Rodney, as usual Sir. I really want one of your canes but luckily I have no need.
  8. Excellent! Agreed, thanks for taking us with you!
  9. Is that Cameron Diaz? My god man that is really amazing work AB!
  10. His stuff is whole nuther level fuh sho.
  11. Uhm, dude, hate to let you in on this but it is LITERALLY what everyone here has been trying to help you with. Literally.
  12. Very sorry to hear this SJ. Another chunk of knowledge gone. At least he got you hooked before he left us!
  13. Yeah, I'd avoid Kydex due to the heat as well. I've had it loosen up on a knife just using it out on the trail. Also, if you take shortcuts with it, which we know is going to happen in this particular case, it won't work as intended. Kydex is supposed to work like a temporary clampy kinda material and if it isn't right and tight, which is about the only thing that has been demonstrated, it is just going to be a waste and then we'll all be called names and trying to critique more shoddy workmanship for naught. There is a learning curve and tooling needed and it doesn't help anyone get better using their sewing machine.
  14. This. Thanks for the close up JLS!
  15. Wow, really? There was nothing even remotely negative in the review. I don't see why it should've even been suggested fro removal. That baffles me far more than the honest opinion of the knife does...
  16. Well you took to leather like a duck to water. That looks neat and tidy and your stitching is really good. Hell of a success for a first project!
  17. That's pretty cool stuff too @JLSleather
  18. Check around the 5:20 minute mark. Well, watch the entire series, this guy is literally a master, not to mention funny. But the 5:20 timeframe is where he starts the magic with using paint as antique, sorta. Exact same concept though.
  19. Well in that case, I can't wait to see it when you get it painted up!
  20. Which is why I sit for at least 6-8 hours a day. It makes my couch time that much easier to pull off! :D
