  1. Looks nice and clean. I love the connectors you used on the corners. Classy.
  2. Great looking rig, as always. I see the cartridge holder on you left side. Most of these I have seen are on the shoulder strap (so they sit on the chest). But those rigs have a narrower strap. I like the wider strap you used on the shoulder piece, but wonder if the cartridges will rub on the arm when walking, especially if the rig is worn outside of jackets, etc. What are your thoughts?
  3. In SW Missouri, probably $30-50 depending on level of detail. Looks nice. My only concern would be the metal of the eyelets coming into contact with the stock. Do you have something under it to protect them from contacting the stock?
  4. That is pretty sharp.
  5. Here is a recent interview with Barry King. https://www.internationalleatherclub.com/international-leather-journal/
  6. beautiful work!!!
  7. Very nice work! Love the contrasting stitching.
  8. Great information @Handstitched. When doing shows, etc. we also bought a 12 volt Marine battery and connected a power inverter and charger to prevent having to "purchase" power at the venues. Cost was around $200, but some of the venues charged as much as $50 a show. We ran sewing machines using it. I am no electrician, but was simple enough to make and strap onto a lightweight, fold up dolly. Kind of like having a generator without having to refuel or make a bunch of noise. Also usable in inside markets.
  9. Nicely done. nothing like getting a piece finished for a loved one. I am sure he will be proud to use it.
  10. WOW, just WOW. What an improvement from first to third wallet. Definitely love the contrasting stitching as well as the pattern you stitched. Very impressive. Lines nice and straight and love the burnished opening as well. Nicely done.
  11. very nice. I still have the one I bought from Tandy. Still functions, but not nearly as versatile.
  12. nicely done. Exquisite carving!
  13. Rub it down with a little tokonole or Tragacanth Gum. Wrap a piece of canvas around your boning tool and rub away. Alternately, I have several brass punches that I use with or without the canvas. It always gives me good results. Good luck.
  14. Thanks for the detailed information. Heading to the site now.
  15. very nice. Love the patterning on the inside.
  16. I have never used heat. I always case it and smack the stamp with a mallet. My stamp has a screw -in handle to make it easier. I do have a larger stamp that is used with my Harbor Freight Arbor Press.
  17. nice work, Dwight. Always good to see your work!
  18. if it is a 1911, yes. Barrel length may be different, as well as the trigger guard.
  19. Here is an example of the Coat of Arms I made for my son. It is 11x14"
  20. I found some very small bevelers and they help out when beveling tight cuts. I think I found mine on Etsy. I know Barry King sells some steep and small bevelers as well, just didn't want to spend the extra for BK. The one's I got work well for tight spots.
  21. Great job on the carving. Also like the contrasting thread color.
  22. Stunning work. great looking knife.
  23. I need a wood shop to create something similar. Will be looking for ideas soon. Getting ready to build a shop, hope to have it done by end of year.
  24. Nice work. glad you are on the mend. PT works wonders, if the patient is willing. Glad to see you are.
  25. Great job on the tooling. Amazing what we can make out of a piece of scrap. Nicely done.
