  1. Okay... so over 2 weeks, and no word on this. Card not charged, items not shipped.... did I just WASTE time AGAIN?@!
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't be able to do this one without seeing more detail. Tough to even tell how it was put together... glue, thread, lace, or some combination of those?@! I don't think this girl wanted a historical discussion of the drawing.. she was hoping somebody would REPLACE IT for her.
  3. Overall, I rather like the look of it. I had the same initial reaction to the back of the stitching, but that's easily replaced if you decide to. See how comfortable it is to use. I'm wondering if the combination of straight drop and high leading edge might be a bit awkward? Just the way I'm built, I prefer not to have to pull that high.
  4. paint base color. dip end of sponge or rag in darker second color, then dab on a cloth or scrap of leather to get "most" of the dye out of the sponge wipe the [lightly loaded] sponge down the edge. Best to start light and build up the color... you can always add more but you can't take it back.
  5. I'm getting that too.. and not seeing from where. I guess what's causing that is a secret (though I suspect we may be asking in the wrong place).
  6. Lasers is all the 'thing' these days. I "get" it... set it and forget it type thing.... like production on a mini mini mini scale. But I would be interested to see how this thing weathered the last 8 years after being BURNED
  7. I like the case. I like the idea. I like the layout and the color. I will like it with a fox Care for one suggestion from a guy who admits he doesn't make these (but does fish)? ETA: Wait.. is that buckle tab riveted or sewn down on the under side?
  8. From the album: Seriously ...

  9. Here's one more just finished up. IWB "tuckable" holster 'n' single mag for bullpup9. Hard to photo that chocolate brown... looks reddish at some angles and not at others. But a quick phone-pic...
  10. Tha's natural cowhide under ostrich leg. And thanks Here's the "top view"... (back panel is removable)
  11. Thanks - i'll have to look into that... something without plating...
  12. Working a bit again today. But working on normal human male stuff (always and again).. no 'ornaments' or 'gay apparel' involved Are these screws and washers available in chocolate brown?
  13. Yeah, those were big files I shrank em to about 35% and still big. I git a bit more time I'll need to mess with the quality a bit... see if I can make out more detail. GrandDad got some MILES out of this one. Anybody recognize it?
  14. I'd take a look at that. What schedule we on here? jeff@jlsleather.com
  15. No, I mean you see those "profiles' or whatever they're called on different sites... where the guy (or often the gal) has the same profile pic for like 20 years. I mean, WHY EVEN HAVE a profile pic of yourself if it's not the way you look? So this pic must be 8,9 years old? I inadvertently became one of them!
  16. Really must get a minute when I get a break to get a new picture up.... that old one is YEARS old - that little girl in the Dora socks is now telling me what I should be making ...

  19. IS IT? Or is the CHAIN shortened too much? Relaxing the chain (to the foot control) should let the motor level, right?@!
  20. Welcome! That pretty simple to follow? I want to try to git sum stuff "out there" for the boys 'n' girls who know some stuff, but want to know more stuff. Internets is INUNDATED with videos, "classes", how-to's, that all show how to trace around a gun (real or otherwise). But I AM going to make that one soon... where I trace around my hand just like when I was four ... Also been trying out a drafting program lately.. wonder if it might be faster than PS or IL. Reason being, I have a caliper that measures in inches and millimeters, but not in pixels ...
  21. Bob 'n' friends one of the few I actually recommend.
  22. Does look like that motor is 'cocked' a bit. Taking teh belt off should tell a guy quickly. Step down far enough, hard enough, to rotate that motor a bit.. if it wasn't tight .... Being basically lazy, I might put a mark on the pulley, just so I could first tell if it's "happening" at the same point each rotation (looks to be the case, but i'd confirm). Realign, see if it's still the same 'place'.
