  1. I would definitely call this a skiver rather than a strander. Doesn't cut strands! Tom
  2. The OP hasn't returned to this site since Mar 22. Since he has no interest in responding, I'm locking this thread and moving it to Old/Sold Tom
  3. @J1100 Moved your post to leather sewing machines. Your are more likely to get a response here. Tom
  4. I had a flyer delivered that said they would refund memberships or credit them against your purchases. Check with your store to see if they will do it. Tom
  5. OP is in the Mesa, Arizona, 85201 area according to the IP address. @kayw It's a good idea to put your location in your profile so people can provide answers and helps relative to your location in the solar system. Tom
  6. You were missing photos. Without photos, you would need more description. Thanks. Tom
  7. @UCdaiLOI Moved you post to leather tools. Help Wanted is like classified ads in the newspaper, looking for work or looking to employ someone. All posts in Help Wanted must be approved by moderators. Tom
  8. @carstripper please read and comply with the marketplace rules https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/70-announcements/ Tom
  9. You might have to search for it. I don't access this site from my phone. It may be below banner ads. It may be somewhere under the menu items. It could be on your page view. All guesses! Tom
  10. To all users, if you are interested in following an item (without clogging up the thread), go to the top right just below the menu bar and click on follow. Tom
  11. Re-size the photos to about 800 x 600 pixels and you can upload many photos in one post. Tom
  12. @bruce johnson Hey Bruce, could you add your expertise to this question? Thanks Tom
  13. According to the OP's IP address, is located in the Paso Robles, California, 93446 area. @vintageredesigned Always a good idea to include your location in your profile. Nice to know what part of the solar system you are in so people can see if they are really interested. Probably pretty expensive and long shipping time from Mars! Your should also give information about shipping or local pick up only. Tom
  14. OP's IP address is for the Harker Heights, Texas, 76548 area. @Mandajane It is a good idea to add your location to your profile so you can reach people in the area that may be interested. Tom
  15. I fixed the link to make it "clickable" Tom
  16. @tieflyer You have some interest shown here. You haven't been online here since March 22. @StitcherToo If you quote or flag someone, they normally get an email so you will get faster response. Type "@" followed by the username and a list will pop up. Pick from the list. Tom
  17. Hey @CowboyBob do you know anything about the Cowboy 8020 splitter? Looks like some interest in this thread. Tom
  18. Copied and pasted into a browser, works for me. Tom
  19. I came across this checklist. It is not specifically for leather sewing machines, but has many common problems listed. Hope it is of help to someone here now and then. Sewing Machine Common Troubles.pdf Tom
  20. A great amount of really great leatherwork (tooling, stamping, carving) has been done with all kinds of tools; home made, cheap, expensive, etc. Good tools may help, but the main thing is how you use the tools you have. You don't need 100 different stamps. 10 stamps in total may provide all you really need tool-wise. Practice and patience are the requirements for good tooling of any style. Of course we all like to have nice tools, and there is always another one that we want to add to our collection, but this is mainly just "wants". Tom
  21. I'd say leave it as is, mostly due to your comments, but mine would be much the same. Tom
  22. Most of the kind and grateful people don't make the news. There are lots of them around, quietly going about their life, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease, good or bad. Seems more often bad. Tom
  23. Both are good choices. Ad revenue is good as it supports operational costs. Send a PM to @Johanna Tom
