  1. @Wizcrafts I think you may have mentioned this tape.
  2. Late to the show here, but 1/2 teaspoon to 1 pint of water for next time you use it.
  3. Moved to Leather Sewing Machines
  4. Replaced one with a nail long ago. Cut trimmed, and smoothed it out so it would fit and slide nicely.
  5. @gregintenn Please post your photos on this site. Using 3rd party hosting often results in broken links and the photos disappearing off the post due to changes in the hosts' policies, photos moved or deleted from the host, etc. Then the thread/post becomes useless to others that are trying to study and understand the thread in the future. If your files are too large to post, then reduce the file sizes to make them fit. 800x600 pixels is adequate in most cases, 1024 pixels also works well.
  6. @Teradee as in the post above, you need a smaller pulley on the motor to slow the machine down.
  7. You need to quote part of his post, or tag him. @Ozarksleathersmith You have some interest in your bender dies. You tag a user by typing the '@' symbol followed by the username and picking it from the popup list.
  8. @Drumhack Was about to post the same link. Tugadude beat me too it!
  9. Send a PM to @Johanna. She looks after the Banner Ads.
  10. Rather than pricking iron (used for marking stitches or on very thin leathers) you are looking for punches. Here are a couple links to amazon.com that you can review to see if they fit your needs. I have a couple pliers that came with a box of leather tools from a pawnshop that look like the carbon steel handles in the second link. Have never used them! Machine stitching is my go to. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=4mm+Silent+Leather+Hole+Punch+Stitching+Hand+Pliers&crid=1ABVJZI6P7SY1&sprefix=4mm+silent+leather+hole+punch+stitching+hand+pliers%2Caps%2C139&ref=nb_sb_noss https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Stitching+Hole+Punch%2C+17cm+Hand-Held+Carbon+Steel+Silent+Pliers&crid=3SOQWBCS7YZ4O&sprefix=stitching+hole+punch%2C+17cm+hand-held+carbon+steel+silent+pliers%2Caps%2C115&ref=nb_sb_noss
  11. To tag a user, you need to type the '@' symbol followed by the username and pick the username from the popup list. You may have to scroll down a little to see the popup list. Failing to pick it from the popup results in no notification to the user. @Moabforge If the tag doesn't show a yellowish background, it didn't work. Try again.
  12. You need to quote or tag the individual so he gets a notification. Hasn't been onboard since Dec 9 so isn't checking every day. @mikesnody You have some interest in your machine.
  13. Can you upload photos? Notice you haven't been back since the day you posted. Would be great to have more of your input here.
  14. This is old and should have been locked. Send @jimi a personal message and ask.
  15. Moved your post to Marketplace > Items For Sale > Hand Tools-Leatherworking Tools Had a look at your Etsy page. Shipping is calculated during check out. FYI Marketplace rules are here. Please review.
  16. Looks like you figured out how to post. Welcome.
  17. @CrowsNest Please read the marketplace rules and conform. You must identify any shipping information, etc.
  18. Clutch motor. Motor runs constantly. You have to feather the clutch like a car with a standard transmission to get it started. Only with a clutch motor, you have to feather the clutch all the time if your are trying to go slow around corners, etc. Go to the home page and there is a full list of all the forums along with descriptions, numbers of posts, and how many are unread (by you).
  19. @loricariiidae Since your post is about leather sewing machines, I moved it to Leather Sewing Machines.
  20. Good to see you joined the forum instead of trying to post under 'report' as a guest. Copied the new version from your report! Hope to hear more from you now as a member.
  21. Moved your post to leather machinery
  22. @leatherworkwonders You have an offer see above post. @DLoveOn8 You need to quote or tag members so they get notice. OP hasn't checked in since August 2022.
  23. As Burkhardt says above. If the hook doesn't catch the loop, you have a skipped stitch. So the loop has to be properly formed, and not interrupted by any twisting, turning, or any other action until the loop is caught. See this post for example.
  24. @AtlantisLeather Moved your post to Home > Marketplace > Items For Sale > Businesses & Estate Sales > Leatherworking Workshop Liquidation
