Well Chuck found the same bad link as I did. But the other bit that may be confusing to some is your return policy. One place it says it is free and further down the page it says buyer responsible for payment. I think I know what you are getting at, but it could cause you some grief. Overall nice site.

Big Red drill holster

Cool beans! I just love to see something unique. Good job. -
Welcome to the world of saddle stitching. For starters i would go to Nigel Armitage on youtube and vimeo. An excellent teacher! Once you learn the basics the main thing is to make sure no matter how you do it, it is done the same every single stitch. Each needle goes in the same place, same side first, thread crosses, etc. After that it is just practice.

Hi Ferg, I never did get a machine. I was just looking for someone to do a single job for me. Good luck.

You might look at Rocky Mountain leather as well.

Just thought I'd let you know that the sponsor links are bringing up a page saying that it isn't working. Hope this is a good place to post this.

Love something different. You probably have already thought of this, but when you build your case don't forget to use large/deep enough feet to protect that hinge. Can't wait to see it.

I bought some actual piping cord. For the life of me I can't remember where. But it is just like the stuff from the hardware store for the weed eater. I have seen drapery cord piping at Wawak.com but I don't think it would be much different from paracord or rope . As long as you can get the diameter and stiffness you want, the end result should be fine. If you're looking for a little bit of protection for the laptop, you might consider closed cell foam. You can get different thicknesses and it will give your bag the structure I think you are looking for. If you're using an oily leather, you will have trouble with any adhesives sticking to it. For no more than you have to do here, l would just do like you are with the ripstop. I wouldn't try to get it to the edges through. May give you fits when you finish the edges. At 2/3oz, maybe double the nylon? The weight of a laptop will tug pretty good. What you have so far looks really good.

Not sure what you are building. That would determine the materials you need. If you are looking for the cardboard looking material, that is bontex. It comes in several thicknesses which in turn affects the stiffness of your project. The bonded leather will give you a different type of support. the piping can be anything. Don't need to buy any special materials. If rope works, use it. Plastic tubing works. Paracord too. You find a rigid plastic made specifically for piping, even weed whacker string works. Again depending on what you are doing, fabric or nylon webbing are options. Sometimes you need to buy parts specifically made , but sometimes it's easier and cheaper to find alternatives.

You might try Campbell-Randall.

Second saddle, second place!

Well done Ryan! Can't wait to see the next one. Thank you for sharing. -
Bengaline is the fabric that is used for lining bags. Don't know if that is the same that @RockyAussie is talking about. I have also used upholstery fabric to get a little more durability in bags. Don't think either would work very well in wallets.

Got a customer wanting a square ring 1 1/2" ID. Something old looking. Maybe just antique brass. But at this point I would take about anything Looked everywhere I know and can only find rectangles that wide. Any ideas? Or maybe know of someone that could make one? Thanks folks!

Help! Bell skiver problem: scrap deflector malfunction

@Lil Doodler Thank you so much for the manual! For whatever reason this seems to be a rare resource. Thankfully folks here have helped more than they know, but this can go right by the machine. -
Masking on leather - CerMark or TherMark?
blue duck replied to BulletAK's topic in All About Leather
I have absolutely no idea. However, I might suggest posting under the laser engraver part of this forum. Folks that do have the answer may be over there more than here. -
Thank you for the detailed info. Think you forgot a couple items though. Stress and Whiskey!

Very nice. Really like the design.

I know this is not in your part of the world but I would look at either Big Duck Canvas and/or Chicago Canvas. Both have been good to work with.

blue duck replied to Maroonbulldog's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
Haven't tried it, but Makers Leather Supply has new colored antiques. White is in there as well. -
