  1. Looks great @JLSleather. Classy.
  2. That looks great. I could easily see some rich dude pull that out of a suitcoat pocket to pay for some really good scotch.
  3. That is good stuff! Beats a plastic trophy for certain.
  4. Well Mike, you constantly raise the bar for us but I'm afraid you raised it for yourself this time too man. I'm cussing trying to find the right words to describe how cool this is so before I type them, I'm just going to say that is amazing and it is an honor to have the chance to ask you about it. Just. Plain. Awesome.
  5. I'm pleased with the Ritza knockoff nylon thread found on Amazon. You get like 78 miles of it for 3 or 4 bucks in almost any color and even multicolor. I've used linen thread and its ok IMO. If you are going to do period specific work then you really only have the option of that period so let that drive your purchase if you plan on keeping it accurate.
  6. I think I saw someone get this affect on purpose by ironing it. You may need to experiment with temps and thicknesses.
  7. Sir Connery musta needed to pay some bills or something. Those boots...
  8. Even after the LED light bar I still have light woes. I am avoiding a head lamp just to dodge the batteries....how bad is it on batteries @Rockoboy?
  9. Agree with everyone so far, this looks great and pretty novel with the woods in the background of the valknut. Really cool and really clean. Question: what is the strap part going into/under the button flap?
  10. I tried uploading a pic of the stamp but it isn't loading for some reason even after resizing.
  11. This is where I got mine and I got 2 and a handle for under 60 bucks shipped. He is out of Vietnam though so if you are in a hurry, he is likely not the source. I'm happy with mine so far and I just hammer it so far, I imaging a nice and constant pressure with a press would yield really nice results with this stamp too. It's all brass. I like it a good bit.
  12. Super cool! Can't wait to see how this turns out!
  13. I'm just shy of 6'2" also, so it is a bit noticeable. I remember being around large scary costumed people around Halloweens growing up and I know the feeling that comes with it. Unfortunately we get no trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood so I didn't get to spook any kids.
  14. Wow, I don't know how I missed this one but good on ya'. Looks great!
  15. I learned so much in the post between mine above and this one. I really <3 this forum.
