  1. Ok,now I've seen a pic & have to tell you with that type of hook & bobbin case it is a light duty machine. You will probably be able to use #69 & maybe #92 but that would be it.
  2. If you want the stitch to look nice,I would use a leather point.
  3. The model# is on the oval tag on the front.Constabulary is right on about everything,it looks to have an air foot lift & also a needle postion motor,is the motor 3-phase?At least parts & a manual are easy to get for it.For a manual try 111w155
  4. When you thread your machine do you wrap around the lower tension(one in pic) 1 & 1/2 times? Also the arm you thread through is called a takeup lever & you always want to make sure it is @ the top when you start & stop sewing.
  5. Do a search for Alpha-Sew mini walker,Thompson mini walker,Sailrites are the same machine w/a different name & a much higher price tag do to their markup & promotion of it.They did develop a larger wheel for it that gives it alittle more power. They usually wion't handle thread larger than #92.
  6. They both are correct, keep the Juki feet & other accessories are a lot easier & lower priced for it because it is a very common machine.
  7. I've tried them on heavier leather & they won't sew it,they would make a great chap machine or lighter weight leather for purses & wallets. They have a walking foot, needlefeed that pulls it through pretty good.
  8. The feed dogs are different between them ,the needle plate from one won't even fasten to the other.
  9. Sorry I didn't see your posting earlier,it sounds like a great buy for a couple hundred.Keep it well oiled & it might last another 100 yrs.
  10. This machine is called a serger. It is used for finishing the edges of material. When you look @ ebay it seems like people call anything & everything a leather machine even little hame machines !! This one looks like a Chinese copy of a Singer 81 you might look one Singer site for threading info,it uses 3 spools.
  11. We hardly ever get a used heavy machine like this in.The few I picked up @ auction this summer were in a lot worse shape than I thought when I bought them & beyond repair so they went back to the auction.I'd know I would have nothing but trouble from them.
  12. Hey Colt,Your doing a great job there!Looks very professional.
  13. The only parts you can get are the needles, bobbins & shuttle.
  14. It has a foot that lifts up as the needle goes in the material & then comes down as the needle pulls out & then it swings back with the lower feed dog,it also should have a large heavy wheel & sews easy 1/2" thick.
  15. Yes,we have them but you will have to drill & tap 2-holes to mount it.There is no template either,so you have to line it up, hold it where it mounts & mark it & drill & tap.
  16. We have needles & awls for the Champion & they also fit the landis #3 & 16 BUT they won't work in all of the ASN's,they are alittle larger & won't fit in all the machines so I don't try selling them for ASN.I forgot about New England Needle I know they sell Groz-Beckart & would probably have a better price than Pilgrim.
  17. Hey Colt, That's what happens in leatherworking, you end up finding thicker projects to sew.At least if you get a bigger machine you'll have the best of both worlds & be able to use #69 & 92 w/o any trouble on the 206RB & then use the larger #138& up on the bigger machine. It is pretty hard to adjust the big machine to use 69 & 92. HTH Bob
  18. Are you using a leather point needle?I don't know which foot a 2318 takes either but like Constabulary said post a pic & I'm sure we can help you.
  19. & we had a problem with the connecter not holding,so we just stick with selling the leather belting.
  20. Yes,the 206 has a larger bobbin,it is also easier to adjust the stitch length than on the 226.
  21. On these 211's there should be a button to adjust the amount of lift the feet have. It's on the top cover of the machine, right in the middle,it's black & it works like the stitch length, you push the button down & turn the machine until the button goes into a groove, keep holding it down & turn the handwheel towards you to make the feet lift higher.
  22. You have a needlefeed machine, the material is getting caught at the back of the needle plate, there is a sharp edge(on the top from left to right about 1/4" across)) that can be filed off & it will prevent the material from getting caught.
  23. We stock them down to size #18
