  1. I like it! I'm not a big fan of skulls but the tooling looks great. Keep it up!
  2. Looks great! I like that laptop case. Did you make the pattern yourself or use one?
  3. Hand stitched?! wow. That's very impressive. Have you ridden in it yet?
  4. Stitching looks pretty good to me. This "lil guy" can rip out of nylon harnesses?! Can we get a pic of Bo?
  5. Thanks! I found both corner patterns online in two different places. They were for different things but I thought they matched pretty well so I used them together. I also altered them in a few places like the leaf looping around the border and extending a few leafs over the border. -Ryan Thanks, Yintx! I appreciate that.
  6. Thanks! No, I didn't make it. I got it as a gift from my dad. Thank you! Yeah, I like the window, too. @bikermutt07 I know. So far I've only done smaller stuff so it hasn't been a problem yet... If I need to do bigger stuff I have enough room to pull it out. I know what you mean about the arms length. Pretty soon I want to upgrade to a stool with wheels. Thanks! I like my window and hat, too. Thanks, Ross! Yeah, my dad got like five of those chests at Costco about a year ago I think.
  7. Ok no laughing... just got it set up a few weeks ago. (jk you can laugh )
  8. Sure thing. This is the first time I've used a petal lifter so any advice or critique is appreciated. Thanks! -Ryan Thank you! Here is the inside. I try to keep the inside simple and plain so the focus is on the cover but any advice is much appreciated. -Ryan . Thanks!
  9. Thanks, alpha2! I appreciate it. Thank you! Yes, I used my Cowboy 4500 with #138 bonded nylon thread.
  10. 3oz I think. I got it out of a scrap bin at Tandy.
  11. Thank you! Thanks. Yeah, I hope she likes it, too.
  12. Howdy guys and gals. One of my friends asked me to make this journal for his Christmas gift to his girlfriend. The leather is 8/9 oz. European single bend from Tandy. Let me know what you think. Critique and comments are always welcome. (Note the screwdriver petal lifter in the second pic. I got the idea from YinTx in his post.)
  13. Cool! I've never seen a saddle like that before but it looks great. What is the name of that type of saddle? -Ryan
  14. Nice! Where are you in Alaska? I have a lot of relatives in Alaska and my mom was born there. I've been to Alaska 3 times on summer vacations. REALLY awesome place. Yeah, Tucson gets hot but I like the heat. Right now it's like 57 degrees outside but I feel like it's Antarctica. (I'm a wimp when it comes to cold weather).
  15. Very nice. I like the simplicity of it (no forming or extra doodads). Good work on the edges.
  16. Fantastic! You did a great job on that! Thanks for showing the process. -Ryan
  17. They look really great. The only thing I would do different would be cutting the fringe on the side at a more vertical angle so it hangs down a little better and doesn't have a "wave" effect. Other than that, I think they're just grand. Good work! -Ryan
  18. Very impressive. Good work! I eventually want to build a pc case that is that style.
  19. That's awesome. Can we get a pic of it on someone's head? -Ryan
  20. I like it! Not sure where I'd put it but it's really cool. I really like how the "D" at the end of the second "NEED" looks like the trigger guard. Was that intentional? Either way, it gives it a nice effect. Regards, -Ryan
  21. Looks good! The stretch may be because of the location of that piece on the hide. For example, the belly will stretch a lot whereas straight down the spine won't stretch that much. But it could also be the weight, too. Anyways, I would go with a stretchier leather for a project like that because you can fit it well and when it dries it forms and tightens around the handle. Thanks for sharing! -Ryan
