  3. Can you not skive the leather down more at the area's you are sewing
  4. I used to embroider hundreds of those caps with up to 15 colours and sell them at about £10 each, and they look far better than badges, I would suggest you look around your area for a embroidery company or t-shirt company who also often have embroidery and get a far more professional look

  6. Many thanks handstitched but the 15mm is more a statement piece, I did get some plain black ones with a blank belt from Tandy when they were in the UK and they were about 6mm for the male part and 8mm for the female part
  7. Where do I buy black Snap Caps for belts in UK and also what size do you recommend for belt leather 3.mm thick so 6mm total width, I assume they are stronger than normal snap caps
  8. Would the gum be called "Gum Arabic" as used by painters etc and also in the food industry I think to thicken liquid up
  9. Dont know about airfares in Aus but it can be very cheap to fly to china from the UK especially if you use lesser known airlines May be worth considering a return flight to China and bringing it back as airline excess luggage
  10. Not sure what CAD package you are using, but in Fusion you have the ability when you go to convert to a 3D Print, to adjust the number of triangle before its converted to the STL and then to slicer software
  11. Thanks constabulary, don't need one right now but think i may buy one for reserve as the machine will no doubt need one at some time and at those prices £13 from college sewing not a big deal and never know when they will disappear
  12. My 29K53 looks like it has part number 8559, but do not seem to find that part anywhere after google search, can you use otherBCL's or is there something special about the 8559

  14. You can also use a cheater bar (a length of steel pipe fitted over the existing arbor handle) to get far more pressure at very low cost

  17. My eco-flo stl i loaded on this site came in at 1.07mb, I guess that must be near the limit per upload, many forums seem to have either a 1mb or 1.5mb limit

  19. They look like expensive tailors shears and cost a few bob when new, I would suggest you find a good quality taylor and ask them to sharpen them or who they send them to, unfortunately many clothing factories these day just use electronic cutters. A wet stone would be my weapon of choice

  22. Its a copy of the sailrite machine, the sailrite has had a lot of modifications to the original design and although probably far more expensive seems to be the better machine look at sailrite.com
  23. How thick and what colour was the PLA, I guess the car interior by the windscreen could be close to double the outside temp, Also temp is normally given as in the shade by our met office measured in those littl white boxes with slatted sides
