Black Mamba wheel gunbelt.

Most excellent use of exotics. Very well crafted too. -
I believe the Avenger style holster will work for both.

Beautiful work. I never considered using my drill press but now I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing your marvelous work.

Thanks for sharing. That's beautiful.

I think you did a very nice job on that. Looks like a great way to carry extra ammo while walking around.

Very nice bag and it sure looks sturdy enough to carry lots of tools. I'm sure your wife will love it.

Excellent workmanship. Love the knives too.

Really coming along well. Basket weave is spot on. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Trying to copy the best, my rendition of an Ernie Hill speed holster for my 617. Steel lined with 2 layers of 10 ounce leather. I'm still working on the strap side so no picture of the back. I just need to figure the correct angle. Everything is hand done including the stitching, molding and forming the steel. Well, forming the steel was foot done. I had to stand on the holster to bend the metal to start shaping it then I needed a vice to get the right dimensions. I may install tension screws but right now it doesn't appear to need them.

Tool pouch: I finally got the coloring finished!

Awesome work. -
Weekend project for my new revolver. This is for speed shooting and the holster is lined with rawhide while the belt strap is lined with 18 gauge steel so that it doesn't bend. After assembly I put everything in a vacuum bag to form the holster. Two thickness of 10 ounce leather plus the rawhide didn't get much forming but it's enough to give a firm fit. The gun is secure but comes right out when drawn.

You are doing a wonderful job. I'm sure your friend is going to love it.

I love this bag and think you did a fantastic job. I understand doing a job for the money paid. Not everyone can afford what good leatherwork costs but you made it possible for the woman to have what she wanted. Nice job.

Most excellent work. Looks great and can't tell it's a range bag.

Anyone know where the FRID protection sheets for wallets can be found? I use to get them from Tandy but can't find them on their websites anymore.

Very nice work and thanks for the information. Steven

Thanks for your reply.

I recently purchased some Rawhide from Tandy Leather. They had it on sale and I want to try to use it inside my holsters so that I can mold them to the gun and the leather will keep it's shape for a long time. I know of another holster maker that makes fast draw holsters lined with Rawhide and the speed is unbelievable. I tried a scissors but it's very difficult to cut. Should I soak it in water before attempting to cut it? Also once I put it between two other layers of 8 ounce leather and it's wet will Barge Cement hold it there until I form in in a vacuum bag?

Python Shoulder Holster for a 1911
AzShooter replied to chasman52's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Awesome work. Love Python Skin. You sure have a thick one. I've only found skin big enough for a couple of wallets.
