  1. I sharpen my Head Knife ( Tandy ) with a diamond stone 600 grit. I don't know what make but the instructions were pretty good. Take the knife and drag it 10 times on each side, the 9 times, 8 times etc. When you get to 1 I've found my knife to be very sharp and all I need to do is strop it before and after each use. I also purchased a set of KERYE stones. Four Hundred, 1000, 3000 and 8000. I use the same method and it's helped me get my Osborne skiving knife very sharp. The 400 is to get a basic edge on the blade but doesn't sharpen it. I push the blade in both directions and then go to the 1000 etc. These are wet water stones except the 8000. That stays dry.
  2. Excellent work. I've been wanting to make one myself and seeing yours I may just have to get it done.
  3. You did well. Customer was good to pick your design and I agree that it looks great.
  4. Awesome work. Love the colors and the shine. The lock is great and gives me ideas for my next bag. You should have no troubles selling this one. I really like the inside with the pockets. The little case is also a fantastic idea.
  5. A job well done. You son will be happy come Christmas.

WOW!!! Most excellent work. I can see you having a great business opportunity.
  7. Check Amazon. They have them. May not be Tandy but they are the same thing.
  8. The French Curves are you friends but if you need something more rounded Maker's Leather Company and Tandy have a template for round edges. I started with computers before they were called PCs and what a learning experience it was. I never really thought it would catch on the way it did but I managed to be the top computer salesman in the country one year. People back then were very hesitant about the learning curve but once they had one they were sold. I love your answer to your problem. Really thinking outside the box on that one.
  9. Beautiful work. I really like the stamp you used. Love the fact that it's lined. Keep up the excellent work.
  10. Very nice job. Love working with shark skin.
  11. I think you did a great job on both of them. Like the colors.
  12. Thanks for the ideas. I'll have to track down some Kydex and see how it works. I appreciate the information.
  13. Great holster there and the rawhide will really keep it that way. Congratulations.
  14. I use Resolene. It really helps. Put it on, when dry apply your antiquing and wait 10 minutes. Then, wipe off the antiquing. This will prevent it from making the entire piece darker.
  15. Most excellent work. I'd love to see the finished product. You've nailed it.
  16. Exactly. You compete with the rimfire autos.
