I like the overall look of the design, if somewhat uncertain of the practical functionality. Definitely a fun piece, maybe the bastard lovechild of Mad Max and Calamity Jane. But I don't see her sitting down in the car to drive. Maybe she can ride her horse to the grocery store.

The cowboy stuff is my favorite. I wish I had a reason to make some. Too much time and material to make it just because I feel like it.

I'm not qualified to offer any criticism of that bag. I am qualified to say I love the little detail of the zipper pull. Overall, just a "wow" piece! I don't recall being clean shaven in about 40 years, but a bag like that might make me take it up again.. The tooled part is obviously veg tan. What kind of leather is the rest?

I often look at your ads, never sure what I'd do with that nice looking leather, but I don't understand what "per foot" means. Square foot or running foot? If it's running, how wide would a particular piece be? Knowing that might give me a better idea if I just want to buy something and hope I find a use for it. @nstarleather Thanks

Yep, the wimmin start early, being fussy about their purses. Strap length has bitten me a couple of times. Looks like you did the smart thing and made the strap a clip on separate piece. Looks like the butterflys took a lot of work. I've made a few quick little purses from the bottoms of old jeans. The cuff becomes the top and then the imagination can be your guide. I usually line them, use the back pockets in some way and make either a denim or leather strap. A mystery braid strap gives you a chance to put your leatherworker spin on them. My lack of creative eye means mine end up fairly utilitarian. Sewing can be a challenge sometimes, depending on what you run into for thick seams. Luckily I have a couple of big sewing machines.

Congrats on that accomplishment. What did you do for soles? I've looked and between sizing them right and high cost, I'm still sporting wally world sneaks.

I am a little curious about the belt loop attachment, Does it bridge between the flap and holster? The whole rig makes me wish I was a cowboy so I'd have an excuse to wear it to town. Thanks

@Dwight, I didn't realize the 2 were so close in spec. I like the look of the Outlaw (and the name) more than the Boss. The feed type seems to be a bit different, just at a glance. I started out wanting to machine sew leather. Ended up with a 111W while looking at the Outlaw. Something about no electricity appeals to me. Ended up with a 441 clone just because of the small incremental money to get to the next level machine up. I just screenshotted this pic from a Tippman Industrial video and now I want one mounted on a bench like this in a small trailer workshop! Sorry for the rabbit trail ...

Instead of stating the obvious things about the great look and workmanship, I'll say I appreciate the high res pictures so I can really zoom in on the details as I plot to steal some of them ... I've never done a double layer holster but I have some 5-6 oz leather that may be great for it. I like the smooth interior.

It just works for me. YMMV.

It's not a 201, if he has it listed that way. It's a Class 15. Not that it makes any difference to all the foregoing comments. It's still heartache waiting to happen. Your work looks quite nice. Keep saving! EDIT: Actually there are 2 different machines pictured. The bottom is a 15. Maybe the top is a 66? Regardless, doesn't change anything.

OK, thanks. I see what you're talking about with the slider plate and spring. Looks like it's missing a cover over the hook/bobbin. Always something to learn here.

Man, there's a lot to love about that holster. The small kerfuffle with the stitching fades to insignificance compared to the rest of the details. And a P series Ruger, to boot. One of my very favorite handguns of all time.

@Wizcrafts , I'm curious if you knew just by the model number or if there's something you see that told you it's a binder?

No telling, for me,anyway. Apparently a binding machine has a different feed type and maybe other things I don't know about. There is not a binder on your potential machine that I see. The binder on the linked machine is all those cylindrical things on the cylinder arm between the needle and the pillar. Evidently, the feed on a binding setup just goes back and forth without going up and down.

The G means it has a bigger hook and bobbin. Other than that, someone else will certainly chime in. EDIT: Here's a more modern 335 set up for binding. @SeanRoss217 I wouldn't think not holding the button would have anything to do with it. Not holding the button doesn't do anything. Pushing it locks that bottom shaft to allow the stitch length to change. I don't know if something else would be seized and somebody took a pair of pliers to the knob. If you want to get @CowboyBob 's attention you need to do the trick of starting with the @ sign and picking his name from the drop down list.
