  1. I’m selling my Cobra Class 4. It was purchased in June of 2021, from Tandy Leather. It has been very well maintained and is in excellent condition. Comes with standard tools and manuals. Comes with extra needles and bobbins. Comes with brand new work platform (never used). It’s a great machine, but not the right one for my particular needs. Has not been used much. Price for the machine and extras is $2,500. Firm and not negotiable. CASH only. The machine is located in Burnsville a suburb of Minneapolis, MN and must be picked up there. No shipping. Be advised that you will need a helper to load it up as I am not able to help with that.
  2. FOR SALE $2500 - Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia - 60kms (45mins) north of Sydney Pfaff 1295-706/35 Heavy Duty Post Bed Compound Walking Foot Sewing Machine In perfect running order and just glides through heavy leather (10mm harness leather pictured). The extra flexibility of the post bed is so handy, however, I regularly use the flat bed attachment with no issues. This is my old faithful heavy duty sewing machine but has a brand new, quiet, speed adjustable and energy efficient 750 Watt servo motor (11 month warranty, motor Only) with overhead LED light. Comes with a home made flat bed attachment, built in light, bobbin winder (built-in), a few bobbins and needles. Selling due to downsizing. Message me for a video of it in action, going through 10mm harness leather, a copy of the user manual, or any other questions you may have. Comes with bobbins
  3. I have a singer 111w155 for sale. Since having a sewing machine serviceman refurbish and go over the entire machine, it has not been used. It has a brand new induction motor, speed adjustable, that I purchased when it was being refurbished. Original hard wood table, thread reels, light and other extras including extra thread and a qt of lubricating oil. I am asking $750. New belts and some tools. I will consider all serious offers.
  4. Hello. I am a newbie to this site, and couldn’t find a thread (lol) about this topic I make heavy duty dog collars and harnesses, mostly using 9/10 oz leather, sometimes as low as 7 oz. I need a good, strong thread that will take some abuse and not stretch out. Most of what I find is thread made for hand sewing - this is for a machine (Master Tools Cub Manual). What do you all use / suggest? It would be nice if I could find something with a good selection of colors. Thank you
  5. Luberto Classic Heavy Duty Sewing Machine. My father was a saddle maker and this was his machine. It's heavy cast iron on a wood table top. All one piece. Pedal or manual sewing for controlled stitching. Works perfectly. Very heavy and will need to be picked up from Pioneertown, Ca. (near Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree) I'm sorry I really don't know much about the mechanics of it but I know it works fine and never had any issues. Purchased new in 2008. Asking $5000 obo.

  7. Okay so.... I am getting a new machine with almost full cart blanche allowed. Here's the setup. I have a Janome Horizon 8900 from my sewing days which does everything fabric related and light garment weight leather. I also have a 20 year old Chandler DY-337 which can sail through canvas and light leather, BUT its presser feet leave horrible marks on the leather if its something like veg tanned so only the softer ones will work there (if you know of a model that interchanges where I can find smooth presser feet I'd love to know). Also, if you've ever used one, there isn't much presser clearance and its not a compound fed machine. So here's where my work is and where it is going. I currently love doing leather bags, everything from 2/3 up to heavy buffalo, and smaller leather goods. The issue is I don't have the maneuverability I need for bags with the flat bed, so a compound feed cylinder arm is in my sights and I am moving towards veg tanned pieces such as inlaid leather belts, spur straps, chaps, building custom orders which could include heavier layers such as skirts for welders and such where a cylinder arm will come in handy. I want the freedom of torque to attempt all manner of projects from saddle bags to tack, but I want a reserve, so to speak, so I'm not running into the upper limits of the machine. There aren't any saddles in my future so there is a limit. Something that could handle smaller projects like wallets (because I'm not a fan of the Chandler mainly because of the feet), but also have the thread capability to run through belts, and 2-3 layers of veg tan. If there's not a machine with that range I understand. I've seen all manner of suggestions between Techsew 2700, Juki, Cobra and Cowboy models. There seems to be a dilemma between clones and other models and everyone has there favorites, but is there actual issues with some brands over others? I don't have much of an option to find a good used machine. There aren't many crafters up where I'm at (NW Montana) who have spares laying around, nor am I going to risk buying something online. I have the ability to buy new so I'm asking you all, where would you stick your money if you were me? I need dependable, smooth, quiet and easy maintenance. I'm handy at fixing when things need it, but I don't want a fixer every time I set up a project. Thank you all for your due diligence in these forums. You spend so much time helping us out and its most appreciated.

Fully functional. Stitches flawlessly. Treadle replaced with clutched motor that runs fantastic. Bobbin and shuttle included. No missing parts. Has had a repair on top a long time ago. More photos available. I have owned it and been using it since around 2007 or 2008.Time to upgrade as business has improved. Seems that they go for around $1000 in less condition than this one. So, I'd like $1450 considering the condition and the motor but certainly will negotiate. Located in NW Wyoming. Reach me at wyoming.eb@gmail.com
  9. Hello, I have been trying to find some very durable leather gloves for more intense yard clearing. The ones I find at most stores wear out quickly and just aren't that great! Does anyone know where to find the real good quality cowhide gloves that say farmers/ranchers use that can hold up to quite a lot? Thanks!
  10. I recently moved my Artisan Toro 4000 to a small stand, as we moved into a much smaller house, and am selling the original heavy-duty pedestal stand it came on. Please see attached pictures, including one of the original setup with the head, motor, speed reducer, light, and thread stand in place. The second picture shows the bare stand as I’m selling it (machines etc. on the floor not included). The stand is height-adjustable, on casters, and made of very heavy steel. 2 pedals - one for the motor, the other for the foot lift. The top is drilled for the Artisan Toro 4000, which is a Juki 441 clone. $75 (which is a bargain). Pick-up only. I’m in the Jacksonville, FL area.

  13. I bout the machine "like new" last March, and it still is...I used it only twice to practice stitching a belt, but then life kinda got hectic and never got around to using it again. Then, from Texas, I moved to Alabama and the machine has been stored this whole time...and yes, It is fully assembled, you can see it run and test it out before purchase. Ok, as for price....I have 3 options for you to consider... 1. $2700, my price of the machine INCLUDING my whole investment of merchandise for my attempted leather business (lol), which values at approx. $3500-$4000 at least..ALL purchased from Tandy Leather......THIS consists of NEW HUGE spools of thread*, NEW dyes and some used bottles of different color dyes, conditioner/gloss, NEW tools (multiple size punches, riveting kits, jewel setters, marker, hand carver, etc) , NEW conchos, jewels, eyelets, NEW belt buckles, LOTS of NEW UNUSED RAW leather belts, NEW belt loops AND tips, NEW packages of daubbers, 3/4" ALPHABET LETTER Leather punch set, guides, and maybe something I'm missing but whatever it is, its included! lol 2. $2500, price of the machine, spools of thread, and I will allow you to pick a few other things you might immediately need...To be discussed 3. $2250 machine only, and yes, the thread...I wouldn't want to sell you a machine without AT LEAST having that to get started *If I cannot find the thread at that moment, I WILL send it to you...Off hand, at this very moment, I can't recall where it is stored but I do have them Please consider these options and let me know how you feel, I do want to let it go, for someone else to use and benefit from so once you contact me, we can talk and see what will better accommodate each other because I have other business venture plans as well love... thank you for your time! Hope to speak with you soon!!! #GodBless
  14. Been doing mainly coffee sleeves lately so this was a nice change of pace. Local businessman approached me a few days ago and he wanted a phone case for his Sonim XP7 phone. For those that don't know, the XP7 is a military grade phone designed to withstand a tank running over it lol The customer is stucco and stone installer so he needed a case that was tough and would protect his phone. He also wanted a pocket for carrying 3x5 index cards. This is what I came up with. All constructed with 9oz veg tanned leather except the liner covering the snap on the inside. Hand stitching 27oz of leather was not fun but I managed to do it.
  15. Hello, I'm looking for black, heavy duty, d-rings that I'll be using on my agitation collars (working dogs). I can't have a weak a d-ring come apart during protection/agitation work in fear of having a dog end up going free and causing a major accident. I found these 2" Welded Anodized Black Steel D-Rings over at http://www.strapworks.com/Metal_D_Ring_Anodized_p/mdrblk.htm. They have no ratings on their product and I was wondering if anybody has any experience with them and their product(s). It shows their heavy wire for this product is around .26" and from looking at charts I think that's between a 2 and 3 gauge, but still no working load or breaking strength ratings. If anybody has any other solutions for 2" black heavy duty d-rings please help me out. I'm also looking for 2" black heavy duty single prong heel roller buckles to match as well.
  16. After much debate I have decided to try and sell my Ludwig 205-370 heavy duty cylinder arm leather stitcher. Due to time constraints from my job I am just not doing enough leather work anymore to justify keeping it and I could really use the room in my shop, so I will sadly let it go. This machine is an exact copy of the Adler 205-370 and operates just as smoothly as the actual Adler I tried at Weaver Leather. It is in fantastic condition and has no issues. If you're not familiar with this model, they will do everything one of the 441 / "Class 4" machines will do and run smoother while doing it. The machine includes a swing-away edge guide, an adjustable height table/stand, auto-bobbin winder, speed reducer, and a quality servo motor. I have a few different presser feet and feed dogs for it, several packages of needles, a few spools of bonded nylon thread, and several bobbins. I also have the Weaver timing device and digital copies of the Adler manuals. I am asking $1,500.00 for the machine and all the accessories I have for it. It would be a tremendous effort to break this thing down and crate it to ship because it's HEAVY and BIG, so I would really prefer local pickup. However, if someone is willing to pay for the effort required to ship it I am willing to do the work as a last resort. I am located near Huntington, WV. Feel free to ask any questions you have about it or if you'd like to see any other pictures. I am not in a bind or "needing" to sell it in any way, so I'm not going to accept any low-ball offers. If I can't get within reason of what it is worth for it, I'll just cover it up and keep it. If interested you can message me here, email me at evandailey@suddenlink dot net, or call or text at 304-six33-489two.
  17. I've made up my mind I need a bigger machine, so I'm posting this again. Like new Cowboy 3200 sewing machine. I bought this machine about 6 months months ago from Neel's Saddlery and now need a bigger machine. Used maybe 20 hours, well oiled and taken care of. Have flat top table also. Pick up only in SouthHill Va. 1600.00
  18. The collar is upside down in the pic, but I turned it over the right way now. You get the idea anyway.
  19. Hello Everybody, I recently bought Juki 441, which is in quite great condition, its works very well and in perfect shape. I noticed, while using Biggest needle (NM 280, 28 Size needle), the needle start hitting with shuttle, it doesn't happens with small size. #Does anybody know, what is wrong with the machine? I also noticed, when needle starts penetrating the work piece, the needle move towards right side ( within the allowable space in the center presser feet. Is it common with machine, which uses long needle? Any suggestion to comment would be greatly appreciated FYI, I used 19, 25 & 28 size needle so far.
  20. I am looking for a leather sewing machine that would have the ability to sew tack for horses. I don't have a ton to spend and want to get something that will work for now. I have come across an antique(all metal) Singer Delco and I'm not sure if it would be able to handle it. Can anyone help me out?
  21. Want to buy heavy duty Singer leather sewing machines. Cosmetics not important...I want a workhouse where I can tinker and learn. Intent is to make leather straps, no intricate designs or tooling, just stiching. Thanks!
