Looks like a Will Ghormley pattern from his 1911 pack. If it is how did you like working with it? I have the pack but have not gotten into it.

Surprisingly not so long when you get in the groove...more an issue with my old hands cramping.. I will be trying some of those shaft fattening deals there was a thread about (like rubber pen holding aids etc.) . That said I now try to leave less back-ground.... and have started to like the pebblers as back grounds... not traditional but look cool and les strikes needed.

On topic of the size of the bags.... when I was framing the old guy Merv I worked with would always reach into his nail pouch and say "well outa nails...time go home"...at 3pm every day... so too big = too many nails = too long a day..... He also was fond of saying "Don't ever drop your chisel on me again kid."...that wasn't a much a chuckle as the nail thing but still good advice.

I like it. there is a stylized nature to the tooling which is cool and simple but good looking.

Well formed and I would think that the strap is almost redundant in terms of retention. As usual... it would be nice to see the back and belt attachment.

That is now a real keeper... generations of riders to come.

Exellent work and yes yoi shiuld design modules and get clicking. Look at iron worker "frogs"as a product. Looking forward to seeing how you progress. Get in with the union halls and show off you gear to the carpenters, framers, form workers and iron workers etc. Give the first set out and once people see it on the site they will come to you.

Thanks all for the compliments everyone.. tooling turned out better than I expected as this is harness leather and a bit hit and miss as to how it will take and keep the tooling.

Cant wait for the third version...all excellent and getting more so. In the picture was it a mag pouch on his weak side or in some it looked almost like an open top holster? Not sure if you said above but what is the finish you used?

Handle some leather...plywood...aluminum..... not sure sewing is the right term for those materials!!! What a beast.

Usually there are printing instruction for scaling and paper size etc. and aside from lining up the parts like a jig saw to match the item patterned there are also usually match lines on each page to align them with the others. Tandy PDF pattern packs have instructions, match lines and the PDF has one page with the full image (which you can get plotted full size) followed but he 8.5x11 individual parts of the page. If you didn't get instruction and you are in US I would think you can assume they print on 8.5x11 with no scaling and then you match them together..... or call the vendor.... Hope this helps.

Welcome and very nice shop for sure... love the seeing vintage machines in use.... too bad you had to lug it all down the stairs. Please post more of your work!
