    Also there seems to be an assumption that 1 or 2 rounds can stop the threat. This may not be the case for any number of reasons. Additionally there also seems to be an assumption that you are only facing one potential threat. Not to mention problems that may occur with magazines in general. As the old saying goes. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

    I stiched a cylinder like this a while ago it did take me a few times to get it right. What I found help me was to tighten and pull the stitches to where I needed them to be every so often. The thread used was just a standard Tandy thread I had laying around. And slow and steady wins the race

    Nice. You could use nails or upholstery tacs. They come in different styles. I'm sure you could find something to match the style of the box
