  1. Put in plenty of power outlets and maybe some 220. Electricity is an expensive part of your building but much cheaper to do it in the beginning than later on.
  2. that's pretty fine work there indeed.
  3. Heck no and I actually made three so far two are being tested as we speak. They look a lot shinier in person too.
  4. thanks I'm sure it will get a good patina too, that hammered brass pommel will look sharp with some age
  5. thank you ! i love simple it makes it harder to screw up.
  6. lol you can but its a whole lotta ugly. thank you I appreciate that.
  7. thank you, i agree and so do my customers lol most of my sales are for simple looks but high quality work.
  8. thanks it does even out a bit in a few days. thank you!
  9. Just finished this for a fellow. He brought over an old Indian river knife kit blade he had laying around for years. it cleaned up real nice. He just wanted simple leather so i made this also. For those wondering the wider snap loop has a function it is because the knife is handle heavy so if i were to put a standard loop at the bottom of the handle the sheath would tend to tilt. raising and widening the loop puts the balance point higher solving the problem. Sheath 9 oz with canyon tan, water proofed with mink oil and ready for the hunt.
  10. I made a few of these for some folks and tested them a bit, my thoughts are that it is a very good blade design and makes for a really nice push knife. With a handle it is still Small and comfortable to use. It would rock with thinner leathers especially.
  11. that looks great! all you need to add are some knife cuts around the seeder.
  12. beautiful case and a fine rifle also. I'm not smirking i have three air rifles and one air pistol. None as nice as yours however.
  13. of course head shape and axe function also affects design of the sheath. These are made to carry on a belt for example.
  14. dog gone you i just woke up now i am craving a nice chop with a couple fried eggs on top lol, those look yummy indeed!! Awesome grill!! We are heading out for some bird hunting this morning.
  15. wow that's really cool! careful you may be making a whole set before long lol.
  16. so do i , trouble with adding sticky stuff is a sling isnt just for carrying the weapon, if you actually use your sling as it should be to shoot with your going to have problems.
  17. a lot of folks put a thumb hole through or a loop on the inside to hang their thumb in so the sling wont slip around.
  18. lol me too sad thing dad never met him he did all his work at a studio somewhere never set foot out here during the filming. OH yea love Star trek, We still watch it some channels run episodes back to back. Loved Gilligan too, Gilligan had it made man what was he thinking all those years lol. A Keeper pic of your mom! That will make a fine memory lol. I'll bet she enjoyed every minute of it.
  19. your stitching makes it look much better!! Don't rush slow down and enjoy the process of learning and creating. A welt in a sheath is a strip of leather put between the outer two pieces that protects the stitching from being cut by the blade. Usually about a 1/4" to 3/8" wide. running the length of the blade. you glue it between the two outer pieces along the edge then sew through it
