  1. Sorry not one roll, three rolls.
  2. I'm making one right now for my woodworking chisels with 4oz oil tan it's my intention to have the leather go over each handle rather than just stitching it flat like a cloth roll this makes the problem of closing the bottom of each chisel space so at the bottom of each space i will leave a small tab of leather in the center kind of like a jock strap sorry but this explains it best that small tab is part of the face it will go back and be stitched down it's a bit more work but i think it will work best the reason for doing this leather is not like cloth I think things will just fit better this way.
  3. Really beautiful work the only thing I see is the edges of the handle should be finished but other than that wow what a job!
  4. Wow those look great love that color.
  5. Nice job hand made and made well what could be better.
  6. Welcome from Boston Mass
  7. Nice work I"M sure he will really appreciate the fine work from a friend.
  8. even though they are in the box and all that I still don't like the idea of that bump on the inside LOL
  9. I struggle with it also so I make these shot shell cases for trap so on the back where the leather turns over to make the belt loop I fasten it with two copper rivets and like you say smooth side out to the most wear LOL that leaves the nice bump on the inside against the primers of the shotgun shells ok so in this case smooth side in the box! LOL
  10. Not contact cement! " rubber cement ". IMHO
  11. Very nice cover someone is going to be very happy with that.
  12. Very nice work thanks for showing .
  13. Wow I love those very nice work and idea .
  14. Wow those are just beautiful really fine work!!!
  15. Nice work that 277 shows up really good like the copper rivets also I think I would have put them in with the peen to the back and use a dome tool on the front but that's just IMHO all said very nice job.
  16. The blanket off the cuff comment as you call it , was I in M my H humble O Opinion IMHO sorry it didn't help I have ben using contact cement for more than 50 years in Industry and for home use that helped form that "opinion" now that does not make me correct it only means I have some knowledge of contact cement and truly was just trying to help.
  17. Barge is the best contact cement used with barge thinner it the best, applied right and nothing is stronger . Master bond is also very good on par with Barge . To me nothing works better than these for contact cement so there's not much point in looking all this IMHO .
  18. Sorry my friend I wasn't trying to say you are wrong it's just another option. She comes out of the bldg. starts across the parking lot sees a man about 75 feet away like I told the nurse make a new path to one side if he turns into that path turn back if he then turns back when he is about 10 feet away spray him! don't talk! spray! him if she waits for him to put his hands on her she is in trouble . I'm not trying to make you wrong it's just a good option that could save her life. all this is IMHO.
  19. I bought all the nurses mace at my docs office and showed them how to use it they wanted gun's, the thing I like about mace you shoot the wrong guy no big deal O shit that was the minister just wanted directions ! it happens wow the very same situation very excided gal boom boom, boom boom boom, went the 9mm and she only hit him once, one of those 9mms went across the street and killed a kid playing baseball!!! not that I'm against gun's I'm not I carry one my self just sayin the slicker in the eye would be best but then O shit that was ,well you know the story. I told this story to the nurses they were very happy, get her the mace then when she go's from bldg. to car have it in hand ready to go get in the car put it away it easy and that pepper in the eyes is no joke ! the slicker takes a lot of training

looks like a lot of work in that one and all expertly done very nice work !
  21. On the first box the color of the flower pedals has a modeled look that make it look almost real, and the center being that light color give it a very nice definition. so on the second flower box with the flower being one color it requires more shading and tooling to bring out that definition. IMHO looking forward to seeing more of your work and thanks for showing.
  22. Very nice work and the color is nice also . Just a small critique the leaves need to be defined from the stem and given some depth, so as not to appear flat. Also the pedals on the flower could have a slight roll at the top edge to achieve more definition . IMHO. all that said nice work.
  23. That first box with the flower's is truly a work of art.
