  1. Does the tooled cheek side rub abrasion under recoil?
  2. Cast iron machines hard but grinds easily. You could rig a dremel or angle grinder to the table of your machine and use it to create the grove, while turning the wheel on the machine. I imagine that a few 2x4x nailed together could do the trick of mounting a dremel steadily. Remember to cover the rest of the machine with tarp, while doing it.
  3. I am tempted to try fast-curing polyurethane resins with pigments. Did anyone try to make your own?
  4. This is Kenmore. I thought of 15/64 when I saw the diameter on the caliper, but why on Earth would one insist on such an oddball thread when there is 1/4???
  5. Hi all, The domestic machine in question is held on its swing-up mount in the table by the two thumb-screws with the 28 TPI thread, and they look like 1/4" but they are not. The major diameter is between 0.227" and .0228" or 5.8mm. I am leaning towards the inch size because it is precisely 28 TPI but no match on the metric side. What thread could this be? I need to chase one of the threads because the screw sticks, but I do not have the matching tap and will have to order it. Thank you!
  6. Holy Batman!
  7. Super awesome boots and great attitude!
  8. Looks very cool. I hope they last forever.
  9. Turned out nice indeed. Any pix of it around your waist?
  10. Chuck, These are breathtaking rigs. The only thing I would suggest is to keep your options open for the bottom attachment, considering that you may sometimes attach to the belt loop on your jeans, other times to the belt itself. Just my 2c.
  11. Tagged for interest. This looks promising from the get go, so best of luck with the rest and please post! You may soon make a fortune selling them when SHTF.
  12. Looks great!
  13. Very neat! Does the strap across the buttpad rub your shoulder under recoil at all?
  14. I can get the sublimatable types. I was hoping for the sticky blanks that cards could be put on
  15. Simply stunning and incredible!
  16. That must be it.
  17. Good info, Mike! Fred, I do have tape and used it extensively, but this time I need the fridge magnet size pieces, and they must be flat. Ferg: are they sticky on the side opposite fridge, and ready to accept a printed card? do you have 100 of them?
  18. While searching for a leather term, I spotted images from the below link and became curious. It ended up being a tutorial on holster making from scratch and with no hardware whatsoever. Just wanted to share, so here it is for your perusal: Holster tutorial Apologies if this has already been posted.
  19. After scanning Aliexpress, Alibaba, and the eBay, I could not find anyone who would sell me a lot of 50-100 blanks. The idea is to attach my own message to them, not use sublimation on the magnets with an already attached face. Oh, yes! I did find an A4 (somewhat close to Letter) sized magnet "paper" in the UK. For 1300 pounds!!! For one!!! Does anyone know of a supplier for that?
  20. Pictures!
  21. STL is only 3D when you need it to be. It is just a bunch of triangle coordinates and if they all lie on a flat surface then you get a 2D. the fact that you do not always need solid lines but a bit map is a different story. And the use of STL is not limited to the 3D printing industry. It is just a common format for any models be it 3D or 2D.
  22. How does the side fan help printing?
  23. What year casting is that? It is pricey for an old casting. I got mine from a dealer, after sewing my leather ith my thread, for $950 a few years back. For 1200 it should come with a servo and extra feet.
