  2. no to much dry rot in places you cant see, imo your taking your safety as well as the horses in your hands. I would clean it up a bit get an accurate assessment of its collectability or worth then either oil it up a bit and make it a personal show piece or sell it to some cowboy bar as a wall hanger. Old uncared for saddles are very plentiful.

    great looking wallet and nothing at all wrong with simple. I use the roon a lot even on wood lol.

  6. Tandy usually made 3 sizes of most of them or there a bouts if you print the numbers then i can tell you what size you have. or you can go to their site and find out. I ma lucky enough to have kept my old Tandy catalog with life-size pictures of each lol.
  7. What weight of leather are you thinking?? You can preform the heel then tool it if you can find something hard enough and close to the curve to pound against. at least a few stitches on the sides and back and glue, you don't want a malfunction at the wrong time.
  8. very cool indeed i helped a friend sew my 18' Sioux lodge, teepee, because it is a two man job on a table. i can understand it is massive work on a machine. smart thinking.

  13. There is not a thing wrong with simple you do beautiful work! There is an idea about art that the simplest strokes make the loudest noise, many great artist have spent their lifetime trying to accomplish that.
  14. that half flap is just cool beans ! I have been thinking on a holster for my dads old BP, now mine, for a long time. I love the look of that flap design, I'll be using it for sure. Man you do great work!!!

  17. they work fine for straight cuts, i have been using one slightly larger but with a straight blade for a year or so and haven't picked up my round knife since.

I'm doing my get ready for winter chores lol. getting my old truck and camper ready for 10 days in the mountains hunting elk. gotta till the garden and winterize everything, fix a couple of storm windows. I have no idea how much gas is going to cost us this year so I'm worried about that a bit. Dang you set a fine plate, that looks so good. my brother is bringing in a deer today for me, it will make some awesome sausage for the winter, and some nice leather lol.

  24. I've perused both men's free videos i think that is where i would start, getting a feel for each style of design work and see which trips your interests most.
