  1. The entire piece (brown and green) is one piece of leather. The green area is died a different color than the brown.
  2. Can you show some examples where you have used it? I have never bleached leather. Thanks.
  3. You could definitely antique it to show off your carving skills. That would look pretty cool, I think.
  4. I have yet to make a metal stamp. How long did it take you to make them? What was your inspiration behind these particular designs?
  5. nicely done. I am glad you are able to repurpose the leather and make it "new" again. Great job.

    Pink Skull Bag

Pretty awesome design, execution, and color. I struggle with gussets. You did a great job.
  7. nice looking bag. He will love it. I am sure you will hear from him soon.
  8. Yep...it's in Word Go to the "Insert" menu and choose "Word Art" Then choose the type of "transformation you are wanting...
  9. Nice job. Agree about stitching lines around inlays and increased spacing. Might also want to skive down the rectangles so there isn't quite the lip around the inlays. Can't wait to see your next project.
  10. I love the 2-tone. Must have been painstaking to get that done. What is the piece below the loops for? And how is it attached?
  11. It appears there are multiple "styles" on the page. The one in question has holes for the strap to pass through. I placed matching arrow colors to show those that go together. Each different color is a different style, or pattern.
  12. make sure to share pics of the final product to inspire the rest of us. Welcome to the forum.
  13. lambskin will work. You could also try some 1-2 oz. vegtan leather. Either one will prevent more thickness or stiffness. Make sure to sew this on as well, not just glue it, then make sure to burnish the edges for that finished look.
  14. welcome to the forum. It is a folded edge to provide a little more rigidity to the edge of the wallet. When using chrome tan leathers, it is preferable to do this. Otherwise it is pretty soft and can become misshapen easily.
  15. If the ebay stamps don't suit your liking, there is a place in Oklahoma who makes custom stamps (if they don't already have the design you are looking for). https://www.shop.bunkhousetools.com/Embossing-Plates_c4.htm
  16. Having adjustable straps allows for all straps to be the same. One pattern for all. Let consumer make adjustment to fit.
  17. Great job. If you hadn't pointed out the skipped stitch, i would have never noticed. Wow! Impressive.
  18. Never seen anything like it. Looks brand new.
  19. Those look fantastic! Love the color. Stitching looks on point. When I back stitch at the end of a run, I will pull the first stitching really tight so the back stitch over the top will lay down a bit more and not be as obvious. Make sure to burnish those belt slots too.
  20. Great idea to use the bison as the gussets. It probably made it easier to sew / bend around. Very sharp. Well done on the lettering too. Very difficult to do and do right.
  21. Welcome from SW Missouri, USA. You will fit right in. Please don't hesitate to share photos of some of your work. Would love to see some of your restorations.
  22. Another great piece of work, @Hags. Noticed there is a slight deformity around the belt slots. Love the color and the personalized stamp on the back.
  23. I agree with your client. Very nice. One will never notice the difference in color while being worn. It will be chalked up to sun and shadows. Great job.
  24. Welcome from Southwest Missouri, USA. lots of help here for sure.
