Yes, I think a groove would better serve you for all holsters, and a finger notch out would also improve your overall designs. but in the light of simplicity this DOES NOT look bad to me at all ! As with most all of us we use the theory of - practice, practice, practice - normally.

No matter what your consequence becomes with oil, your flower looks just great for a first attempt. like with all of us here Practice makes maybe not perfect but better and better attempts.

Yes , seems as though many of us make our own needed tools, And I assume many are from akin backgrounds, such as wood metal, etc, I too, am among those, made mine with similar mods many years ago..

Great looking for sure !!! Like Chuck the lacing is not seen much these days, and you did it WELL ! Come to think of it, I do recall a Bruce Cheney video for wide lace stitching, but I think it was of a knife sheath ? Was worth watching though.
