  1. Well, it was a great picture, so you nailed it! Thanks!
  2. I'm guessing the shop is a bit brighter in real life! My shop assistant has that same Kong toy, I put a Milk-bone in it, keeps her busy for a while.
  3. I've got three LCP's, and that is a dead ringer for them. How many buckles and what price? It looks a little different than their current offering, better actually, but their listing says "stainless tongue", don't know if that means the rest of the buckle is something else. Can you tell on yours? Jeff
  4. There is a fairly long history to Western holsters. The rigs changed over time, and also depending on the regional influences, the holsters/rigs could look decidedly different. Also, a lot of the rigs made today are for Single Action Shooting competitions. Whereas holsters I make, are for daily carry either inside or outside waistband, hanging on a daily worn belt. A complete belt/holster rig wouldn't be practical for me, as they tend to ride much lower than a standard belt holster. Also, different guns would require a different complete rig for everything you might carry. One more thing...today we are likely to carry numerous guns for different occasions, while in the 'ol days, they likely had one rig for their one, (or two) guns. Jeff
  5. That is an LCP. Pic of buckles and keepers? Jeff
  6. Excellent suggestion. I've been using the card stock for templates for some time now, works great! Jeff

    Sheath knife

Wet-mold? That's a tough one. I've not done one like that yet. I imagine someone on here has, though. Jeff
  8. Well, great. Now I have to make ANOTHER shell case. At least I have something spectacular to aim for! And, those are some hi-velocity shells you have there! Jeff
  9. Offhand, I'd say you've got a good part of this figured out! I've done some nice sheaths, but I've not delved into the inlaid yet! Jeff
  10. Your dog looks to be thinking, "whoa! I'd better be on my best behavior! Wonder what that huge dog did!"
  11. Received my parts from Ohio Travel Bag. A little bigger and heavier than I expected. They would need to be used on something large enough to be in proportion. Nice quality stuff though. I saw a belt online that used this closure on a belt, that was different! Jeff
  12. My hound went crazy when she saw the squirrel! Must be a good likeness, very realistic.
  13. I have an entire subfolder in my leatherwork folder devoted to "bag closure ideas". I'm not happy with the ones I've done so far. My first was a magnetic closure. Too hard to make the magnets line up (socket type) quickly. The second one was a buckle, but with a hidden closure under that, because who wants to fool with a buckle every time they get into the main pocket of a bag. Anything that takes three hands to use is not right for a bag. A simple fold over is best, but not from a security standpoint, and my wife has a pistol in her bag.
  14. I still sometimes use a rotary cutter for long straight cuts, especially with thin leather. It cuts downward instead of pulling the leather. It's also easy to see if the blade isn't vertical. Not that good for corners, though.
  15. What are the interior loops for? I've never had a case for a fly reel, so I don't know. I do know that I wish I had kept my father's old bamboo strip fly rod. If I'd known what they'd be worth these days, I would have! I didn't know they could be restored. It was starting to fall apart, and I figured it was junk, as nobody was making bamboo rods anymore...at that time. THAT is a beautiful job on that case!!! Jeff
  16. Just ordered two of them from Ohio Travel Bag. Now I need to figure out what I'm putting them on. Jeff
  17. Why not? Pizza cutter is nothing but a GENUINE round knife!
  18. NEVER underestimate a minion with a full-body helmet!
  19. That doesn't sound like fun, though. I'd just throw another mug.
  20. I thought it was the scratch on the card slots, then I scrolled up...Had to be on the part with your maker's mark...just so everyone knows exactly who dun it! Riveting would actually work, though. Jeff
