  1. Now that is nice, a lovely bit of leather & very clean execution
  2. Any idea what the margin is? Revenue is pointless if the is no profit.
  3. I could be interested too, looking for one with a small blade for filigree stuff
  4. Amazing feel of depth & detail
  5. Looking good, what size is it?
  6. Maybe the original post got lost during the server migration?
  7. Just to say thanks for all you & others do to keep this site running
  8. To my mind, with a light dye the edge will always be darker as the edge is soaking up the dye on 2 faces (front & side) but the middle is only getting dye on the front? you could try on your dry piece to apply a coat to the centre only?
  9. Thanks, forgot to get some & now it’s with it’s new owner!
  10. So I got the pattern from Mariuspirvu (Link) I tweaked the centre strap to fit the carving, but a nice easy pattern to follow. Its 1-2mm Italian calf lined with a similar thickness lining leather. Hand sewn using a 1mm thread off of Amazon, i do think my stitching is improving Comments & critiques welcome.
  11. Do a sample patch where it can’t be seen (inside a pocket) to see what the oil will do to the finish?
  12. Thanks for the reply, I got the pattern and am giving it a go.
  13. Indeed, agree with the above, thanks for the info
  14. So it is next time & I am looking at this pattern, I was wondering how the closing system has held up? It could just be me but from what I see it’s just the straps pushed through loops? Which I would of thought would not have any strength? was thinking a adding a Sam brown stud to the Center strap but Am I missing something? Also what size laptop does it hold? thanks
  15. Well at least it will give the neighbours something to talk about
  16. This post also made up my mind & I got one too, it’s great for general craft stuff, just getting into using it to cut thin leather & testing to see how detailed/ intricate a design it can manage so thanks again for the info
  17. Lol Me too. Which is why i will never be rich! but at least I am happy:)
  18. It would be easier to leave a socket/ gap to glue the screw in after printing
  19. The filament would depend on what / where the part is, will it need strength or flexibility? Etc
  20. If you get surplus locks I would be interested in buying one
  21. I think the leather versions are more flexible when dry
