All aspects. Like I said, I'm just getting back into it.
  1. chinks

    Very nice!!
  2. I finally finished the project. Did it over the weekend at Scout Camp. Gave it to her Sunday and she loves it.
  3. Instrument Straps last week

Beautiful work, I want to make one myself.
  4. Beautiful work! I can't wait to see it completed.
  5. Dog Collar

Nice work; but I've seen that look before, you will not get the appreciation you deserve for your hard work.
  6. To be honest, I did to for a long time. I just watched a bunch of youtube videos, got myself a quality swivel knife and practiced, practiced practiced. I also stopped thinking too much before I made the cuts and more importantly, slowed down and tried not to rush them.
  7. Well progress has been extremely slooooowwwwwwww. For a current empty nester my schedule is amazingly and irritatingly full. Hopefully I can finish this before my daughter turns 25 (she's 21 now).
  8. Drawing flowers, leaves, scrolls etc.

Leather Crafters and Saddlers Journal sells a Bob Park book that goes over the design process step by step. http://www.leathercraftersjournal.com/product.cfm?product=615
  9. This has been in progress for about 18 months; well...I had the kit just didn't do anything to it until last week. It's for my oldest, she picked it out and asked me to do it for her. I hated the tooling pattern that came with it so I made my own. I finished the tooling yesterday, it was a beautiful day but I spent it inside so I could get it done. I hope to complete the finish and assemble it this week (we'll see, I'm a scout leader and have a ton of work to get done).
  10. This is my first foray into a forum like this. Being on the shy side it took me quite a while to post (I've had this window up for about an hour before I started to type). I almost closed it a couple of times. I've been tooling leather off and on (mostly off) since the 7th grade way back in the dark ages (1977). Now that the kids are getting older, the oldest is 19 and the twins will be Seniors next year I decided to get back into my leather work again. I'm mostly doing Tandy's kits and filling orders from my wife and kids (and myself) right now but I would like to grow what has been my hobby for all these years. I've attached my first project in almost 20 years. The wallet I now carry around. Frank
